As a Sr Software Engineer, you'll own complex workstreams, drive technical decisions within your domain, and mentor the engineers around you. The work needs to be reliable, maintainable, and built to evolve - and in a healthcare environment, the quality of the design has direct clinical consequences.\nWhat you'll do\nDesign robust system prompts using LLM frameworks\nPartner with product teams and business stakeholders to understand and automate workflows\nDesign and implement robust file-ingestion pipelines using Databricks\nOwn a domain or service area end-to-end, including its data model and integration contracts\nLead code reviews, set technical standards, and mentor junior and mid-level engineers\nHold the team accountable for test coverage, observability, and the production health of the services you own\nMinimum Requirements\n5+ years building distributed backend systems in production\nProficiency building system prompts and utilizing AI frameworks\nHands-on experience with MongoDB or comparable document stores\nTrack record of leading technical work across a team - not just executing it\nExperience with cloud-native deployment (Azure, AWS, or GCP)\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience building extract, transform, load (ETL/ELT) workflows using Databricks\nDeep familiarity with domain-driven design and bounded context modeling\nExperience with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7) or EMR integrations\nBackground in high-throughput, low-latency service design at scale\nExperience with event sourcing, CQRS, or other advanced event-driven patterns\nEducation\nBachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification. \nAbout Oak Street Health\nOak Street Health delivers value-based primary care to Medicare-eligible adults through a network of clinics across the U.S. Our engineering teams build the platforms that make that care possible - from the clinical workflows providers use every day to the data systems that power population health. We are part of CVS Health.\nAnticipated Weekly Hours\n40Time Type\nFull timePay Range\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\n$83,430.00 - $222,480.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
