Join us and be part of something bigger - helping to simplify health care one person, one family and one community at a time.\nPosition Summary\nThe Technical Domain Officer (TDO) serves as the senior operational leader responsible for the stability, reliability, operational readiness, and support maturity of an assigned application domain. The TDO provides technical leadership across production support, incident management, problem resolution, monitoring, operational governance, and continuous service improvement.\nWorking closely with Application Development, Infrastructure, Database, Cloud, Security, Product, and Business teams, the TDO ensures production issues are rapidly diagnosed and resolved, operational risks are proactively managed, and support teams have the tools, knowledge, and processes necessary to deliver reliable services.\nJob Responsibilities\nOperational & Technical Leadership\nOwn the operational health, stability, performance, and supportability of assigned applications and services.\nServe as the senior escalation point for complex production issues and major incidents.\nProvide technical leadership and guidance to production support teams.\nMaintain knowledge of application architecture, integrations, data flows, infrastructure dependencies, and operational risks.\nDrive operational excellence through automation, process improvements, and support maturity initiatives.\nProduction Support & Incident Management\nLead investigation and resolution of application, database, interface, and infrastructure issues impacting production services.\nAnalyze failures involving business-critical applications and data processing, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.\nCoordinate troubleshooting efforts across business users, developers, DBAs, infrastructure, cloud, security, and vendor teams.\nSupport major incident response activities and ensure timely restoration of services while meeting operational and SLA commitments.\nLead Operations participation in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Post-Incident Reviews (PIR).\n\n Monitoring, Operations & Service Reliability\nOversee monitoring, alerting, batch processing, file transfers, interfaces, and operational health checks to ensure successful processing and data integrity.\nEnsure observability, telemetry, and operational dashboards effectively support issue detection and resolution.\nIdentify trends, recurring issues, and reliability risks and drive corrective actions to improve system stability.\nValidate operational readiness for releases, infrastructure changes, and new technology implementations.\nKnowledge Management & Continuous Improvement\nEnsure runbooks, support documentation, troubleshooting guides, architecture references, and escalation procedures remain current and effective.\nDrive knowledge transfer, cross-training, and operational readiness across support teams.\nDevelop and report operational metrics, incident trends, and service performance measures.\nIdentify opportunities to automate repeatable tasks, reduce manual effort, improve support efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction.\nCross-Functional Partnership\nCollaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, Database, Cloud, Security, Architecture, Product, Business, and Managed Service teams.\nAct as the primary operational liaison for the assigned domain, ensuring coordinated support and a seamless customer experience across organizational boundaries.\nRequired Qualifications\n3-5 years work experience\nWorking knowledge of problem solving and decision making skills\n Preferred Qualifications\nCertified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) preferred.\nAWS Certified DevOps Engineer preferred.\nEducation\nBachelor's degree preferred/specialized training/relevant professional qualification.\nAnticipated Weekly Hours\n40Time Type\nFull timePay Range\nThe typical pay range for this role is:\n$72,100.00 - $144,200.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. \nOur people fuel our future.
