Most are developed in Python on our in-house Glint SDK, with a growing number of React applications backed by Python services.\nAs a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will own projects from scoping through to delivery, working across the full stack and with teams across the business. We want a self-starter with high engineering standards and a real commitment to our clients. We use AI agents, including Claude Code, to accelerate development safely, and you will do the same while taking full ownership of the code you deliver.\nResponsibilities\nOwn projects end to end, from scoping and sequencing through to execution, rollout and delivery. \nDrive work forward with minimal oversight, coordinating with other teams to keep it on track. \nDesign, build, deploy and maintain simple, well-structured, thoroughly tested code in Python and React, including the Glint SDK. \nUse AI agents such as Claude Code to speed up development, reviewing and taking ownership of all output to meet our quality standards. \nImplement automated testing at multiple levels, including unit, integration and end-to-end. \nReview code and mentor colleagues, sharing knowledge and best practice. \nLead design and feature discussions, championing performance, scalability, reliability and security. \nTroubleshoot and resolve production incidents promptly. \nUndertake any other reasonable activities required by management. \nRequired skills and experience\nExcellent proficiency in Python. \nFamiliarity with React, TypeScript or JavaScript, and comfort working across the full stack. \nWorking knowledge of Claude Code and effective usage patterns, with the discipline to use AI agents safely, responsibly and only to produce code you fully understand and stand behind. \nA proven self-starter with the initiative to scope, plan and deliver with minimal direction. \nDeep knowledge of software methodologies and tools. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills. \nExcellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. \nStrong organization and time management, with a record of delivering to deadlines. \nA strong focus on client satisfaction and user experience. \nA commitment to continuous learning. \nProficiency in Microsoft Office and other essential applications. \nPreferred skills and experience\nStrong React and TypeScript experience, in preference to other front-end frameworks. \nExperience with trading and risk management solutions, or the wider financial domain. \nUnderstanding of architectural design patterns, such as MVC. \nFamiliarity with Playwright for end-to-end testing. \nFamiliarity working in VS Code. \nEducation and experience\nDegree in Computer Science or a related field. \n5+ years of professional software development experience, ideally in Python or React. \nWhat We Offer\nBusiness casual atmosphere in a flexible working environment\nTeam-focused culture that promotes innovation and ownership\nAccess cutting-edge investment reporting technology and expertise\nDefined and undefined career pathways, allowing you to grow your way\nCompetitive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits\nMaternity and paternity leave\nPersonal Time Off and Volunteer Time Off to give back to the community\nWork from anywhere 3 weeks out of the year\nWork from home Fridays\nSalary Range\n$156,400.00 - $210,841.00This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
