This position works closely with Product Management, Sales, Operations and customers to evaluate technical requirements, identify appropriate product solutions, troubleshoot product and configuration issues, and support the successful application of products within customer environments.\nAs a developing-level engineering position, the Product Engineer builds technical expertise across assigned product lines while handling increasingly complex product, configuration, and customer-support needs. The role is expected to develop broader product knowledge, stronger independent problem-solving capabilities, and the technical depth necessary for progression to Senior Product Engineer.\nThe annual base salary range for this position is $75,000-$84,000. The actual salary offered will vary based on applicant’s relevant skills, education, experience, certifications and geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.\nLocation: Syracuse, NY; Atlanta, GA; or Phoenix, AZ preferred. Remote opportunities may also be considered.\nWhat You’ll Do\nProvide technical product support to Sales, Product Management, Operations, and customers for assigned networking, data center, and related technology products. \nParticipate in customer and internal discussions to understand technical requirements and recommend appropriate product configurations, alternatives, or solutions. \nResearch product specifications, compatibility, features, configurations, and technical requirements to support product and customer needs. \nTroubleshoot product, equipment, configuration, and application issues and recommend appropriate solutions or next steps. \nAssist with the development of network and infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements, product capabilities, availability, and cost considerations. \nProvide technical guidance regarding current and legacy product lines. \nSupport product selection by providing specifications, compatibility information, configuration guidance, and technically appropriate alternatives. \nAssist with technical evaluation of returned, defective, or damaged products and provide guidance regarding appropriate resolution. \nPartner with Operations and technical teams to support product testing and evaluation when needed. \nParticipate in vendor training and independently develop knowledge of new technologies, products, and product lines. \nConduct product research and assist in evaluating new products, technologies, and vendors. \nDevelop and deliver technical product information and training to internal teams and, as appropriate, customers. \nProvide technical input and subject-matter support to Marketing for product-related content and initiatives. \nDevelop cross-functional knowledge of Product Management processes and assigned product categories. \nMaintain current knowledge of relevant networking and infrastructure technologies and industry developments. \nDocument technical findings, recommendations, configurations, and solutions as appropriate. \nEscalate complex or high-risk technical issues to senior technical resources when appropriate. \nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. \nWhat you Bring\nAssociate degree in Networking, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant education, certifications, training, and experience. \nThree years of relevant technical experience in networking, infrastructure, technical support, product support, systems support, or a related technology environment. \nCCNA with strong enterprise networking experience.\nAbility to review customer requirements/BOM’s and recommend equivalent or alternative solutions across Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Arist and other manufacturers.\nFoundational knowledge of networking concepts, hardware, infrastructure, and associated technologies. \nDemonstrated ability to research and interpret product specifications and technical documentation. \nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. \nAbility to communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences. \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. \nDemonstrated customer-service orientation and ability to work effectively across teams. \nAbility and willingness to continuously develop technical and product expertise. \nPreferred Qualifications\nCCNP Enterprise certification.\nStrong working knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking, BGP, OSPF, VLAN’s, VXLAN/EVPN, MLAG, STP, routing, switching, optics and high-speed ethernet.\nExperience designing, configuring and troubleshooting multi-vendor enterprise and data-center networks.\nIndustry or manufacturer certifications related to networking, infrastructure, or assigned product technologies. \nExperience supporting networking or data center equipment. \nExperience working with enterprise networking manufacturers, products, or technologies. \nExperience providing technical support to sales teams or customers. \nWhat We Offer\nHealth insurance and prescription drug coverage\nDental and Vision insurance\nCompany-paid basic life and AD&D insurance and voluntary life options\nCompany paid short and long-term disability and buy-up options\nCritical illness, accident and hospital indemnity insurance\nFlexible spending accounts\nIdentity Theft & Fraud Protection\nLegal Insurance\nPet insurance\nTraditional and Roth 401(k) retirement plan with company match\nEmployee Assistance Program\nTuition reimbursement \nPaid vacation, sick/personal days and holidays\nFlexible work arrangements \n\nAll offers of employment are conditional upon the successful completion and passing of a background check and drug test.\nWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
