To support operational flexibility, resilience, and career development, all pilots are expected to develop and maintain skills across both the Utility, Oil and Gas, and Marine sectors.\nThis role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and technologies, providing valuable experience across different industries and environments. To support our customers' operational requirements, pilots will also participate in weekend operations as business needs dictate, typically averaging around 25% of weekends. We recognise the importance of balancing work and personal commitments and where possible try to accommodate individual circumstances when scheduling.\nResponsibilities: \nAct as Pilot in Command for commercial drone operations across multiple aircraft platforms, payloads, and operational environments.\nPlan and execute safe and efficient drone inspections, surveys, and data capture missions.\nConduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.\nProduce, review, and work in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).\nComplete mission planning, airspace assessments, and operational documentation.\nConduct operations in complex and higher-risk environments, including lone-person operations where appropriate.\nCapture high-quality visual, thermal, LiDAR, and other data to support engineering assessments and technical processing.\nMaintain accurate flight records and operational reports.\nRecord field activities and project progress using Cyberhawk's operational systems and Field App, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.\nCollaborate closely with pilots, engineers, project managers, planning managers, and customers to ensure successful project delivery.\nLiaise professionally with landowners, customers, members of the public, and other stakeholders on site.\nSupport the testing and implementation of new equipment, technologies, and operational procedures.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of safety, operational efficiency, and technical capability within the field team.\nSkills, Experience & Qualifications: \nEssential\nUK CAA GVC or RPC-L1 qualification.\nDemonstrable experience conducting commercial drone operations within the utilities, energy, telecommunications, construction, infrastructure, or related sectors.\nExperience with DJI Enterprise platforms.\nStrong understanding of UK aviation regulations and operational risk management.\nAbility to work independently and make sound operational decisions in dynamic environments.\nExperience working to RAMS and operational procedures.\nExcellent communication and organisational skills.\nFull UK driving licence.\nRegular travel throughout the UK is an integral part of this role, with occasional international travel required to support project delivery.\nA proactive, safety-first attitude.\nDesirable\nRemote pilot qualifications, licences, or operational authorisations issued by or recognised by aviation authorities outside the UK.\nKnowledge of international UAS regulations, including EASA and other national aviation authority requirements.\nExperience with RTK operations, LiDAR, thermal inspections, and photogrammetry.\nExperience with DJI Flight Hub, DJI Terra, GIS, or similar software.\nGWO Basic Safety Training, MIST, or BOSIET qualifications.\nExperience operating under EVLOS or automated operations.\nFirst Aid certification.\nAdditional Details\nEligibility to live and work in the UK with high fluency in English.\nPassport and full, clean driving licence.\nAbility to access the Cyberhawk Ratho office.
