Senior Regulatory Paralegal, Content Analyst

Job Description:

• Monitor and review changes to in-scope regulations and exchange rulebooks, including EU and UK financial services regulation and exchange and CCP rulebooks.
• Assess regulatory changes, effective dates, and materiality, ensuring changes are accurately captured in the platform.
• Maintain a clear, auditable record of review decisions.
• Review machine learning topic model outputs and confirm regulatory content is classified correctly.
• Flag misclassifications and edge cases and provide structured, labelled feedback for model improvement.
• Maintain topic taxonomy and data definitions as regulation evolves.
• Compare integrated and consolidated rulebooks against original regulatory sources to verify hierarchy, ordering, versioning, and effective dates.
• Identify and escalate gaps, missing provisions, duplication, and extraction errors.
• Work with product, engineering, and software engineering teams to resolve issues and improve controls.
• Respond to client demand for additional data and help build the service quickly.
• Review and provide quality assurance against written development requirements.
• Process new regulation from capture through to the product.

Requirements:

• A law degree, paralegal qualification, or equivalent legal training.
• Any exposure to financial services regulation, RegTech, or a legal/compliance environment through study, internship, or work experience.
• Genuinely strong attention to detail.
• The discipline to follow structured review and QA processes consistently and keep clear records of decisions.
• Clear written communication.
• Interest in financial services regulation and willingness to develop expertise.
• Curiosity about AI and machine learning tools.
• Exposure to regulatory data sources such as EUR-Lex / CELEX, FCA Handbook, exchange circulars, or rulebook publication feeds.
• Experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
