Our primary target is mid-LEO Earth observation, science missions, commercial constellations.\nYou will be the team's expert on how spacecrafts are put together, across mission classes from CubeSats to large platforms, and on the buses, redundancy schemes, and architectural patterns our customers live with. You will join before the baseline exists.\nYour first job is to set it: the buses we commit to, the interface behaviours we guarantee, the way the module participates in a customer's redundancy scheme. These are decisions the product will live with for years.\n\nYour main responsibilities will include\nWriting and owning the interface control documents, integration guides, and reference architectures that customers' integration engineers build to\n\nActing as design authority for everything observable at the connector i.e. interface behaviour, timing, bus configuration\n\nSpecifying and validating spacecraft-side simulation and test configurations with the Test Automation Engineer\n\nAdvising customers on placement: how the module fits their redundancy, fault-handling, and timing architectures\n\nOwning the system-level technical relationship with the hardware vendor\n\nEngaging early in discovery to surface system-level risks and options the rest of the team may not see\n\nSupporting customers through integration - pre-sales consultation, integration reviews, and debugging at the spacecraft level when needed\n\nDirecting customer integration experience back into the product\n\nAs a successful candidate, you must have\nDirect, hands-on spacecraft experience, i.e contribution to the architecture, integration, or operation of at least one real spacecraft that flew or was built to fly (coursework, simulation, and pure research roles do not meet this bar on their own)\n\nArchitectural breadth across spacecraft scales - practical familiarity with how nanosats, smallsats, and larger platforms are architected, where they differ, and what each demands of onboard components\n\nGenuine working depth on several onboard buses and protocols, such as Time-Triggered Ethernet, standard Ethernet, SpaceWire, CAN, UART/RS-422/485, I²C/SPI, MIL-STD-1553, CCSDS Space Packet Protocol - meaning how they are used, configured, made redundant, and debugged on real vehicles, with test equipment in hand\n\nExperience with spacecraft redundancy architectures and how onboard components participate in them\n\nSystems engineering rigour - requirements decomposition and traceability, technical budgets, margin management; familiarity with NASA NPR 7120/7123 and the SE Handbook, ECSS-E-ST-10 / M-ST-10, or equivalents\n\nThe communication skills to explain and defend interface decisions to external engineering teams, and to write clear and precise documentation\n\nYou will stand out by having any of the following:\nDirect customer integration experience - application engineering, field engineering, or supplier-side integration support on a flight programme\n\nProduction embedded development skill in C, C++, or Rust - letting you prototype reference integrations and bus emulations, and contribute directly to the testbench rather than only specifying it; genuinely differentiating, not required\n\nFDIR design experience - fault trees, autonomy logic, or safe-mode behaviour on a spacecraft that flew\n\nMission operations exposure - flight ops support or console shifts\n\nHands-on instrumentation and debugging fluency - driving bus analyzers and oscilloscopes, reading a packet dump, reading interface-layer C well enough to catch implementation drifting from the ICD, and scripting your own analysis tooling\n\nWe are offering\nTo be a part of different exciting Cybersecurity Space Domain Projects\n\nSupporting and motivated team\n\nFlexible working arrangements\n\nPossibility to attend work-related conferences or trainings of your own choice\n\nWide range of company benefits (paid health days, sports allowance, massage in the office, different events etc)\n\nPrivate office space in Tartu or Tallinn\n\nSupporter of National Defence\nMental Health Supportive Employer\nWhy you'll enjoy working at Cybernetica?\nWe value an atmosphere of learning, collaboration and proactive problem solving, paying great attention also to work-life balance.\n\nGlobal impact 🌎\nWork on tech used in Japan, UAE, the Bahamas and more than 30 other countries.\nKeep learning 🎓\nGo to school while working. Learn new skills through paid seminars and conferences.\nFlexible office arrangement 💻\nHome office, office office, remote office - choose your own location!\nBonuses & compensations 💶\nCompensation for tech gadgets & paid work travel expenses, hefty referral bonus.\nSound mind & healthy body 👟\n5 paid days off per year for either illness or mental health, sports compensation.\nSupportive team 👏 \nWe have over 100 employees in both of our offices in Tallinn and Tartu.\nSander Valvas, Head of Department\n\n“We have crafted a culture in Cybernetica that is supportive, inclusive and equal.”","description_format":"text","description_chars":5144,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":["Flexible schedule","Home office"],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Cybersecurity","Information Security","Digital Government"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-12T08:56:53Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":43,"band":"fade","label":"Fading","p_open":0.85,"p_active":0.678,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":24,"expected_fill_days":31,"reasons":["seen:24","velocity","win:late"],"computed_at":"2026-10-25T05:49:26Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/cybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/cybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-25T19:18:45Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"search","counted_by":"address","units_charged":0,"used_today":0,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":null,"resets_at":"2026-10-26T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":56132},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=56132"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fcybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fcybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fcybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/cybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fcybernetica-space-systems-integrator-for-cybersecurity"}]}
