Recycling rare earth elements and critical minerals. Cyclic Materials recovers rare earths from end-of-life products, building a secure and circular supply chain for materials that are critical to the global economy.

Cyclic Materials is building a resilient circular supply chain for rare earth elements and other critical materials. Through our fully integrated proprietary technology platform, we recover rare earths from end-of-life products and transform them into high-purity materials used to produce new permanent magnets. These magnets are critical to the modern economy, underpinning AI, automotive, e-mobility, electronics, semiconductor, energy, defense, and other advanced manufacturing sectors.

Founded in 2021, Cyclic Materials has rapidly become a category leader in rare earth recovery, achieving commercial operations in less than five years. We currently operate facilities in Ontario and Arizona, with further expansion underway in South Carolina. Backed by investment accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates, Inc., alongside strategic investors including Microsoft, Amazon, Hitachi Ventures, BMW i Ventures, Jaguar Land Rover’s InMotion fund, Energy Impact Partners, ArcTern Ventures, and Fifth Wall, we are scaling quickly and building the industrial backbone required to meet growing global demand for a secure and sustainable supply of rare earths.

We have established an extensive and growing network of commercial partnerships with global industry leaders such as Solvay, Vattenfall, Lime, and VACUUMSCHMELZE, enabling the rapid deployment of recycled rare earth materials into real-world supply chains. Joining Cyclic Materials means tackling complex and exciting challenges at scale alongside a team committed to strong execution and measurable impact. If you are motivated by building critical infrastructure and advancing the circular economy, join us and help accelerate the growth of rare earth recycling.

Position Overview

Cyclic Materials is transforming the circular supply chain for rare earth elements and permanent magnets. As we expand our commercial activity across Arizona and neighboring states, we are seeking an Account Manager to support customer and supplier growth from our Mesa office.

The Account Manager will work in close partnership with the Account Executive. The Account Executive will lead field-based business development and strategic relationship building, while the Account Manager will provide the inside-sales coordination needed to move opportunities forward, serve accounts consistently, and convert commercial activity into reliable feedstock supply and long-term partnerships.

This is a primarily office-based role for a highly organized commercial professional who communicates well, follows through on details, and can manage several customer and supplier priorities at the same time.

Key Responsibilities

Account Executive Partnership

  • Work as the inside-sales partner to the Account Executive, supporting accounts and opportunities across Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
  • Prepare account plans, meeting briefs, follow-up actions, pricing information, and commercial materials for customer and supplier discussions.
  • Maintain regular communication with accounts between outside-sales visits and ensure commitments, questions, and next steps are completed on time.

Pipeline Development

  • Qualify inbound leads and conduct proactive outreach by phone and email to prospective suppliers, customers, recyclers, dismantlers, processors, and industrial partners.
  • Develop opportunities across rare earth materials, permanent magnets, end-of-life products, manufacturing scrap, automotive components, electronics, and industrial recycling streams.
  • Move qualified opportunities through the sales process by confirming material type, volume, quality, location, commercial terms, and timing.
  • Schedule meetings and hand off field opportunities to the Account Executive with complete account history and clear objectives.

Customer and Supplier Account Management

  • Serve as a responsive day-to-day contact for assigned customers and suppliers.
  • Support account onboarding, documentation, pricing communication, order coordination, and issue resolution.
  • Build strong working relationships through consistent follow-up and accurate communication.
  • Identify changes in volume, material mix, service needs, or account activity and share opportunities or risks with the Account Executive.
  • Support account retention and growth by tracking open items and ensuring customers and suppliers receive timely answers.

Feedstock Sourcing and Commercial Support

  • Support the sourcing and qualification of end-of-life products, rare earth-containing components, manufacturing scrap, magnet production scrap, and electronic waste.
  • Collect material specifications, photos, weights, recovery information, shipping details, and supplier requirements for commercial review.
  • Coordinate sample evaluation and internal feedback with Operations, Technical, Logistics, and Finance teams.
  • Assist the Account Executive with proposals and supply agreements that support reliable volume, quality, and competitive pricing.

Quoting Pricing and Order Coordination

  • Prepare quotes, pricing updates, purchase documentation, and commercial summaries using approved pricing and margin guidelines.
  • Track open quotes, purchase orders, loads, pickups, deliveries, payment requirements, and account-specific commitments.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Operations to confirm scheduling, receiving requirements, packaging standards, and material acceptance.
  • Escalate pricing, quality, delivery, or payment issues promptly and provide the information needed for resolution.

CRM Forecasting and Reporting

  • Maintain accurate account records, contacts, activities, opportunities, volumes, pricing, and next steps in the CRM.
  • Track the pipeline and provide regular updates on account activity, expected volumes, conversion timing, and commercial risks.
  • Support weekly and monthly sales forecasts and help ensure projected feedstock volumes are communicated to the Mesa operations team.
  • Monitor inactive or underperforming accounts and coordinate re-engagement plans with the Account Executive.

Cross Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Operations, Logistics, Finance, Legal, Technical, and Executive Leadership to support customer and supplier requirements.
  • Ensure commercial terms, acceptance requirements, payment processes, and operational constraints are communicated clearly to accounts.
  • Help resolve service issues by documenting the facts, coordinating internal owners, and keeping the customer or supplier informed.
  • Share customer feedback, competitive information, and market observations with the commercial team.

Qualifications

  • Degree or diploma in Business, Sales, Supply Chain, Engineering, Materials Science, Economics, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Three or more years of account management, inside sales, commercial coordination, procurement, customer service, or industrial B2B sales experience.
  • Experience in metal recycling, automotive recycling, electronics recycling, manufacturing, mining and metals, critical minerals, or another industrial market is preferred.
  • Strong phone, email, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer follow-up, quotes, orders, and multiple priorities with accuracy.
  • Comfort working with pricing, volumes, margins, forecasts, and basic commercial analysis.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Collaborative working style and the ability to operate effectively in an inside-sales and outside-sales partnership.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work primarily from the Mesa office, with occasional travel for customer visits, supplier meetings, and industry events.
