The position will perform the daily, weekly and hour by hour activities and Preventative Maintenance checks required to operate the plant, and maintain a highly reliable, tour-ready facility Including but not limited to:\nProcess sampling and testing\nTracking of measurements on a control chart\nReporting downtime\nCovering for other operators’ breaks\nCleaning and painting throughout the facility \nThe ideal candidate will be a strong team player, that supports trust, teamwork, performance, quality, and safety in the operation.\n Key Responsibilities:\nPreproduction activities include:\nAssist in installation of equipment\nPainting, labelling\nComplete preproduction training\n Postproduction activities include:\nPerform routine process sampling and process quality checks, and control charting\nComplete daily assessments of the specific tasks assigned to ensure all job hazards and controls are understood\nMonitor, clean, inspect and maintain the production equipment including:Presses, kilns, ball mills, jaw crushers, crystallizer\n\nPlace and remove product bags under the presses\nEnter and adjust product information in the inventory management system\nUse a forklift, pallet jack, floor washer and other small equipment\nTroubleshoot process equipment and escalate for assistance where required\nMix and manage reagents\nPerform general facility cleaning and painting to maintain the site at tour ready condition\nPerform minor mechanical repairs on equipment where qualified to do so.\nParticipates, as required, in daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections to ensure housekeeping and safety standards are always maintained.\nCovering breaks for other operators\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nMinimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred\nAbility to lift and carry up to 20kg\nAbility to stand, bend and work in awkward positions for extended periods of time\nStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot process systems an asset.\nStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.\nFlexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced work environment.\nAbility to work on a rotating shift schedule, 7 days / week, days and nights, rotational basis, including holidays\nAbility to work in a noisy, dusty environment, with hazardous materials\nExperience in hydrometallurgical processes would be an asset\nAbility to wear a full-face respirator and meet clean-shaven requirements.\nWorking Conditions:\nThis position may require working in outdoor or indoor environments, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.\nThe job involves shift work, weekend and holiday shifts, and on-call availability depending on operational needs.\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times.\nPlease note: Certain areas of the facility contain equipment that generates strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields.
