We are looking for a seasoned engineer who is excellent at engineering fundamentals first and tied to no single platform second - someone who can operate across our ecosystem and, just as importantly, partner with the specialists already on the team.\nYou do not need to be a Salesforce expert. You do need to be the kind of engineer other strong engineers want in the room: someone who picks up unfamiliar systems quickly, reasons about design across platforms, and can sit down with a MuleSoft or backend specialist and push their thinking forward on their own turf. Over time you will act as a senior technical anchor across our stack - writing and reviewing code, shaping technical design, and helping the team work as a unit rather than a set of parallel lanes.\nThis role suits someone with genuine drive: curious, adaptable, and hungry to take on more over time. It is the kind of role that grows with the person in it.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, and maintain solutions across our stack - backend services, integrations, data flows, and (with ramp-up) Salesforce customizations.\nServe as a technical partner and advisor to specialists across the team - reasoning about MuleSoft integrations with our integration engineers, backend and data design with our database engineers, and Salesforce approaches with our platform engineers - challenging and strengthening technical decisions across domains.\nLead and elevate code reviews and technical discussion, raising the bar for quality, maintainability, and consistency, and helping establish these as everyday practice across the team.\nOwn and improve our deployment and release process - CI/CD pipelines, environment and branch management, and safe, repeatable production deployments.\nBuild and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems using MuleSoft and APIs.\nDevelop backend logic, data processing, and automation in Python; work with PostgreSQL for data modeling, queries, and performance; leverage AWS for hosting, compute, and supporting cloud services.\nExplore and evaluate new technologies where they can meaningfully improve how we build.\nRamp into Salesforce development and configuration, eventually contributing to and advising on Salesforce solutions.\nTroubleshoot production issues across systems and drive them to resolution.\nMentor engineers, share knowledge, and help raise the technical bar of the people around you.\nRequirements\nWhat We're Looking For (Required)\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a track record of principal- or staff-level technical contribution (years can be adjusted for the right person).\nStrong general-purpose programming skills and solid computer-science fundamentals - platform-agnostic, and someone who learns new technologies quickly.\nHands-on experience with at least three of the following, and the demonstrated ability to ramp into the rest:\nPython (or a comparable backend language)\nRelational databases such as PostgreSQL\nCloud infrastructure, ideally AWS\nIntegration / middleware platforms (MuleSoft, or similar iPaaS / API integration experience)\nJavaScript and modern web development\nExperience designing and reasoning about system architecture and integrations across multiple platforms.\nStrong code-review skills and a genuinely high bar for code quality and engineering practices - someone for whom rigor is a held value, not a tolerated process.\nThe ability to earn influence through credibility rather than title - able to partner with and constructively challenge experienced engineers in domains that aren't their own, and move them without formal authority.\nPractical experience with CI/CD, version control (Git), and managing deployments to production.\nExcellent communication skills - able to explain technical trade-offs to engineers and non-engineers, and to give clear, constructive feedback.\nA demonstrated ability to onboard into unfamiliar codebases and systems quickly and become productive with minimal hand-holding.\nDrive and ambition - a demonstrated pattern of seeking out more scope, more responsibility, and growth over the course of a career.\nNice to Have (Preferred)\nSalesforce development or administration experience (Apex, Lightning/LWC, flows, integrations).
