The ideal candidate enjoys solving mechanical design challenges and creating practical manufacturing solutions that improve safety, quality, and productivity.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, modify, and improve tooling used during jet engine disassembly and assembly operations.\nDevelop innovative tooling solutions using Engineering Standard Work (ESW) and customer design requirements.\nCreate detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX (Unigraphics).\nPerform engineering validation through hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity.\nInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.\nReview Tool Bulletins and Engineering Notifications to implement required tooling revisions.\nParticipate in tooling fit, function, and validation trials before production release.\nCollaborate with mechanics, manufacturing engineers, machine shops, and quality teams to optimize tooling performance.\nIdentify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives through Pratt & Whitney CORE and Quality programs.\nSupport troubleshooting and resolution of tooling-related production issues.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.\nExperience with 3D CAD design (Siemens NX/Unigraphics preferred).\nUnderstanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a collaborative engineering and manufacturing environment.\nU.S. Citizenship required due to export control regulations.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing tooling or fixtures for aerospace or manufacturing environments.\nFamiliarity with aircraft or jet engine components.\nExperience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using ANSYS or similar software.\nKnowledge of material
