Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Development: Design electrical sub-systems, Printed Circuit Boards (PCAs), and electronic hardware for surgical or orthopaedic applications.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct bench testing, PCB bring-up, and performance verification
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, design requirements, and Bill of Materials (BOM) updates.
  • Quality & Compliance: Apply FDA, ISO, and medical-industry standards to ensure product safety and quality.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, mechanical, quality, and manufacturing teams to bring products from design to production.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience with CAD tools, such as Altium or OrCAD, and simulation.
  • Experience with PCB design and layout.
  • Familiarity with orthopaedic instrumentation, joint anatomy, or robotic systems is often preferred.
  • Knowledge of analog, digital, RF, and mixed-signal design
  • Understanding of medical device standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, FDA/MDR)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
