Responsibilities\nDevelop realistic workload models for end-to-end user journeys across application and infrastructure components.\nDesign and script k6 tests for REST, gRPC, WebSocket, and GraphQL APIs with correlation, parameterization, thresholds, checks, and think-time modeling.\nExecute load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, failover, and AKS autoscaling tests, including HPA and Cluster Autoscaler validation.\nIntegrate k6 tests into Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines with automated quality gates.\nAnalyze telemetry using Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, distributed tracing, live metrics, and dashboards.\nIdentify bottlenecks across application, container, database, cache, storage, and network layers.\nAssess the performance impact of HA, DR replication, TDE, backup, and restore scenarios.\nPublish concise executive and technical reports with clear findings, risks, and recommendations.\nMust-Have Technical Skills\nPerformance Testing\nStrong hands-on expertise in k6, including scripting, scenarios, executors, modules, thresholds, checks, and xk6 extensions.\nExperience in workload modeling, capacity planning, and percentile-based SLA analysis.\nKnowledge of HTTPS/REST, gRPC, WebSockets, SignalR, GraphQL, OAuth2/OIDC, and Entra ID token handling.\nAzure Monitoring and Observability\nExpertise in Azure Application Insights, including dependency tracking, distributed tracing, live metrics, availability tests, custom telemetry, and sampling.\nExperience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Workbooks, alerts, action groups, Container Insights, VM Insights, and SQL Insights.\nWorking knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Managed Prometheus, and Azure Managed Grafana.\nAzure Cloud and Infrastructure\nHands-on understanding of AKS, pods, deployments, HPA, node pools, resource quotas, ingress, and service mesh concepts.\nExperience with Azure Container Registry, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, and Managed Disks.\nKnowledge of Azure networking, including ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Front Door, App Gateway, and TLS termination.\nAwareness of Azure security and resiliency capabilities such as Entra ID, Key Vault, TDE, certificates, Availability Zones, HA, DR replication, and autoscale rules.\nUnderstanding of and PowerShell.\nExperience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines with pass/fail thresholds.\nUnderstanding of API Gateway tools such as Traefik, service discovery, retries, circuit breakers, throttling, and microservices resiliency patterns.\nAbility to analyze Azure SQL MI performance using execution plans, wait stats, Query Store, DMVs, and indexing strategies.\nExperience analyzing Redis cache behavior, including hit/miss ratio, eviction policies, and connection pool tuning.\nAbility to correlate k6 test runs with Application Insights telemetry using custom headers and
