The role focuses on developing innovative and cost-effective packaging solutions while balancing product protection, manufacturability, quality, supply-chain requirements, and overall cost.\nThis role will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to develop, validate, and implement packaging solutions that improve cost, performance, material utilization, and logistics efficiency.\nKey Responsibilities\nIdentify and execute Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) and cost-reduction opportunities related to packaging.\nDevelop new packaging concepts and optimize existing packaging designs for cost, quality, performance, and manufacturability.\nCreate and review CAD models, engineering drawings, packaging specifications, and technical documentation.\nGenerate innovative ideas for material optimization, design simplification, standardization, and alternative packaging solutions.\nPerform packaging cost analysis, cost breakdowns, benchmarking, and should-cost assessments.\nEvaluate packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and supplier capabilities to support technically and commercially viable solutions.\nSupport packaging prototype development, testing, validation, and implementation.\nEvaluate the impact of packaging changes on transportation, storage, handling, container utilization, and overall supply-chain cost.\nCollaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and suppliers to implement VAVE projects.\nSupport supplier discussions, technical evaluations, and development of alternative packaging solutions.\nTrack and communicate project benefits, including cost savings, material reduction, quality improvements, and logistics benefits.\nContribute to multiple VAVE projects based on experience and technical expertise.\nMinimum Qualifications\n4-12 years of relevant professional experience in engineering, packaging, manufacturing, value engineering, or a related technical environment.\nExperience or working knowledge of CAD and engineering drawings.\nUnderstanding of packaging materials, design principles, manufacturing processes, and testing methods.\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline preferred.\nHands-on packaging engineering experience strongly preferred;
