You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and managing vulnerabilities across our global infrastructure. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that vulnerabilities are remediated in a timely and effective manner, and that our security posture remains robust against emerging threats. This role offers the opportunity to drive continuous improvement in vulnerability management processes and directly impact the resilience of our digital environment.\nKey Position Responsibilities Include:\nLead the design, engineering, and ongoing optimization of the SIEM platform across global environments.\nBuild and maintain log ingestion pipelines, parsers, connectors, and enrichment logic for both cloud and on-premises systems.\nDevelop and tune detection rules, correlation logic, and analytics aligned to MITRE ATT&CK and threat intelligence.\nPartner with the Security Operations Center to enhance alert fidelity, reduce noise, and improve mean time to detect (MTTD).\nDrive SIEM data quality initiatives, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and visibility across critical systems.\nOnboard new log sources, ensuring proper parsing, normalization, categorization, and use-case mapping.\nLead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and performance improvements within the SIEM platform.\nBuild dashboards, visualizations, and reporting models for executives, SOC analysts, and stakeholders.\nCollaborate with cloud, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate SIEM monitoring into new products, services, and infrastructure.\nStay current with threat landscape changes and ensure detections evolve accordingly.\nSupport incident response activities with advanced investigation capabilities and forensic data enrichment.\nContribute to documentation, playbooks, and engineering runbooks.\nMentor analysts as the SIEM subject matter expert.\nRequired Experience and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.\n5+ years of experience in security engineering, SIEM engineering, SOC operations, or detection engineering roles.\nDeep hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, QRadar, or similar).\nStrong understanding of log ingestion, parsing, normalization, and schema design.\nProven experience building custom detections, analytics rules, and use cases mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.\nSolid understanding of cloud log sources (Azure, AWS, GCP) and API-based integrations.\nProficiency with KQL, SPL, SQL, or other query languages used for detection and analytics.\nExperience with automation/orchestration tooling (SOAR) is a strong plus.\nFamiliarity with security frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.\nExcellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.\nRequired Skills and Competencies:\nSIEM engineering (log pipelines, connectors, ingestion tuning).\nDetection engineering and analytics rule development.\nKQL, SPL, or equivalent query language expertise.\nDeep understanding of MITRE ATT&CK and threat-driven detection.\nAbility to evaluate and onboard new log sources.\nIncident response support and investigation experience.\nDashboarding and data visualization.\nStrong documentation and reporting skills.\nAbility to collaborate with global teams.\nContinuous learning mindset and passion for modern security operations.\nWorking for Us\nAt Cyncly, we call our team OneCyncly, a reflection of how we work together as one, united by our purpose: powering businesses that bring spaces to life.
