This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders and international colleagues to execute monthly closing, maintain strong internal controls, and drive process improvements across the accounting function.\nThis role plays a critical part in maintaining financial accuracy across multiple entities.\nIdeal Candidate:\nThis role is best suited for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and comfortable wearing multiple hats. You will gain exposure across both accounting and broader finance functions, working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.\nThe ideal candidate is eager to learn, able to pivot priorities quickly, and can effectively manage multiple tasks at once. This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to build a deeper, more hands-on understanding of how finance and accounting operate within a growing organization.\nCore Responsibilities\nPerform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, accruals, and reclassifications.\nPrepare, review, and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations; research and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.\nAnalyze income statement and balance sheet fluctuations; investigate variances and provide clear explanations to management and business partners.\nSupport preparation of internal and external financial reporting packages, including roll forwards, schedules, and disclosure support as needed.\nEnsure compliance with accounting policies, SOX/internal control requirements, and documentation standards; identify control gaps and recommend remediation.\nSupport external audit and internal audit requests, including PBC schedules, walkthroughs, and timely responses to inquiries.\nAssist with global/intercompany accounting, including intercompany invoicing, reconciliation, eliminations support, and coordination with regional finance teams.\nSupport fixed assets accounting (capitalization, depreciation, disposals) and/or lease accounting activities, as assigned.\nSupport revenue/COGS/expense accounting activities (e.g., cut-off, accruals, prepaid amortization) in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.\nPartner with business stakeholders to provide accounting guidance, support budget-to-actual analysis, and improve forecasting inputs.\nMaintain and enhance close checklists; contribute to standardization across global processes.\nDrive process improvements and automation initiatives (e.g., reconciliations tools, close management, workflow enhancements) to improve quality and cycle time.\nSupport system initiatives such as ERP upgrades, new entity integrations, chart of accounts changes, and process/control design.\nProvide guidance and informal coaching to junior staff; review work for accuracy and completeness, as needed.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in accounting\n2-4+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting and/or corporate accounting), commensurate with level.\nWorking knowledge of U.S. GAAP (and/or IFRS) and general ledger accounting, including reconciliations and close processes.\nExperience preparing and posting journal entries and performing account analyses.\nProficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas) and comfort working with large datasets.\nExperience working in an ERP environment (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Sage) and financial reporting tools.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced close environment.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting results to non-accounting partners.\nAbility to work independently with strong attention to details.\nOperates with professionalism when interacting with both employees and clients\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA or CPA-eligible (or international equivalent); public accounting experience a plus.\nPrior experience supporting a multinational organization, multiple entities, foreign currency, and/or intercompany processes.\nExperience with close/reconciliation tools (e.g., Blackline) and/or automation (e.g., Power Query/Power BI, Alteryx) is a plus.\nAbility to lead projects, improve processes, and influence stakeholders without direct authority.\nCYPFER is an equal opportunity employer.
