If you’re energized by innovation and inspired by impact, your future starts here.\nThe Role\nYou will be helping to build Cytora’s Underwriting Productivity Suite, a serverless based web application that increases the efficiency and effectiveness of underwriters thereby reducing expense ratios and delivering profitable growth to our customers\nMore specifically, you will be joining the platform team, which is responsible for the infrastructure of our application, our monitoring systems and our CI/CD pipelines. We:\nHave single and multi tenant deployments across Europe, United States and Australia\n\nHave infrastructure deployed on AWS and GCP\n\nManage our infrastructure as code, using terraform\n\nUse third party systems such us circleci, datadog, auth0, thoughspot\n\nHave the mid-term requirement to scale, and the short-term requirement to deliver really fast, so this engineer will need to have good intuition on the level of complexity our systems need.\n\nAlong with core technical skills, we are excited about colleagues who bring passion for the craft of inventing and building products from the ground up\nThis means providing feedback to product managers and the wider company, contributing to roadmaps, and bringing your creativity to bear by suggesting features and improvements based on your technical understanding of what is possible and needed.\nRequirements:\nWe are looking for someone who is customer-centric, values-driven, and collaborative with great communication skills\n\nStrong proven experience in serverless: Lambda/SQS/SNS/S3/Aurora Serverless/GCP Vertex AI/GCP BigQuery\n\nStrong experience using a range of AWS services but not limited to: RDS Aurora Postgres, APIGW, Lambda, S3, SNS, SQS, SES, Cloudfront, Secret Manager, Certificate Manager\n\nExperience building and maintaining multi-region deployments\n\nTerraform/Terragrunt experience as this is part of our stack with Single Tenant deployments\n\nExperience using an OOP language, we use Python\n\nExperience using Terraform\n\nKnowledge of networking fundamentals, including VPC configuration and security\n\nNice to haves:\nECS and Fargate are a plus\n\nExperience designing both single tenancy and multi tenancy solutions\n\nExperience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters using AWS EKS\n\nMaintaining CI/CD pipelines (we use CircleCI)\n\nMonitoring, we use Datadog logs, APMs, profiling, App security\n\nPrior experience using GCP is a plus, but not essential\n\nAwareness of GDPR compliant systems\n\nExperience building event-driven, serverless applications\n\nCloudflare/Orca/Vanta\n\nWhy Cytora\nWe’re building the future of insurance and we’re doing it together. To determine a new team member’s starting pay, we consider a variety of factors, including someone’s depth, breadth, and variety of experience, skills, and responsibilities.
