The associate also ensures accurate payment activity is maintained within each customer account by accurately posting, reviewing and validating entries for multiple payment and security types; balances various reconciliation reports, responds to branch inquiries and resolves departmental processing issues\nQualifications:\nHigh School diploma or equivalent.\nAbility to effectively operate a computer.\nStrong computer skills related specifically to Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nFamiliar with department policies and procedures.\nStrong communications skills, verbal and written.\nStrong customer service skills.\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve problems independently.\nStrong math and general accounting skills a plus.\nFollow policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality.\nCommunicate in a clear and service oriented manner. Use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information.\nAbility to proactively work with both external and internal clients. Relate with others in a professional manner in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.\nAbility to maintain regular, predictable attendance.\nDuties:\nCompute, validate, and post payments to client accounts\nReview stock records and reports to determine customer’s stock ownership on record date\nValidate and process security payments on payable date to holders of record\nVerify total shares owned by customers and compute dividends due\nReview customer accounts to validate security payments are processed according to instructions\nResolve dividend related problems with customer accounts\nResearch and respond to inquiries received from branch personnel\nProcess bond calls\nCode accounts related to ACH or dividend check instructions\nReconcile the daily DTC settlement report\nVerify the accuracy of record date reports\nReconcile the Bank of New York settlement report\nAdjust record date positions to ensure the holder lists are accurate on payable date\nReview Beta CLED accounts to reconcile daily payments\nMaintain Dividend Reinvestment processes for UITs and equities\nEstablish and maintain ACH/DIV Check payment instructions for clients\nComplete any other responsibilities assigned by department supervisor or management\nIdentify newly announced mandatory and voluntary corporate events that may have an effect on current client stock records and process according to the individual elections received for each reorg event.\nProcess cash and stock entries to client accounts according to the terms of each reorg event.\nReconcile the daily DTC settlement.\nCreate notifications for FAs to access, review and make elections through BetaLink for their clients that have positions in securities related to newly announced Corporate Actions.\nCreate notices that outline the terms and conditions of each individual reorg event.\nUpdate initial notices as new information is released.\nTrack and record elections made by the FA’s through BetaLink.\nProcess according to the individual stockholder elections.\nFulfill regulatory requirement for identifying lost or stolen securities.\nIdentity incoming securities that have a value greater than $10,000.\nRun inquires through the Lost and Stolen Securities Program to identify if the securities have been reported lost or stolen.\nTake necessary action related to findings.\nProcess monthly UIT Terminations.\nIdentify UIT securities that are due to mature during the current month.\nCreate and transmit electronic notifications to FAs, outlining the options and timeline.\nReconcile payments verses DTC cash settlement\nPay termination proceeds into client accounts.\nResearch and resolve inquiries from branch personnel in an accurate and timely manner.\nPerform any other duties as assigned.\nWhat we offer:\nCompetitive salary plus excellent benefits and perks including, but not limited to:\nMedical, Dental and Vision\nCompany 401(k)and ESOP contribution\nGenerous sick, vacation, and maternity/parental leave\nPaid holidays\nProfessional Development Opportunities\nTuition Reimbursement ($15,000 lifetime cap)\nDiscounted personal insurance including home, auto and recreational vehicles\nCharitable gift-matching program\nDavidson Day of Giving - Our tradition of positively impacting communities in which we live and work.\nThe compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.\nD.A.
