E. Shaw India. The Data Centre team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our firm's critical infrastructure, which includes data centres and machine rooms. This role is hands-on and provides the opportunity to be part of an inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment.\n\nResponsibilities: \nRack, build, install, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, and networking equipment in the data centre.\nAdhere to standard data centre processes while maintaining high standards for cabling and labelling.\nComplete required updates in DCIM and inventory management systems.\nCollaborate with global teams and vendors to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical and non-technical issues.\nMaintain accurate documentation of actions taken and resolutions completed in internal tools.\nProvide on-call support during business hours, after hours, and on weekends.\nMonitor and prioritise daily workflow to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.\n\nRequirements: \nGraduate with at least 2-3 years of prior experience in operations within a data center environment.\nGood understanding of hardware, software, electrical power, and peripheral equipment.\nKnowledge of various cable and connector types, such as fibre optic and twisted pairs.\nFamiliarity with different operating systems and system tools, including Windows/Linux and Cisco IOS.\nExperience with manufacturer-specific hardware and tools, such as Dell iDRAC and Cisco CIMC.\nExcellent troubleshooting skills, including the ability to diagnose and fix hardware failures and network issues.\nHands-on experience in a data center is a must.\nStrong organisational skills and ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks.\nEffective communication skills, both written and verbal.\nFlexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.\nSkills\nCIMC, data center, datacenter,
