D-Wave is seeking an experienced Manager, IT Network Infrastructure to lead our network engineering and administration function.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll combine people leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence to ensure D-Wave’s network infrastructure is secure, reliable, and scalable. You’ll lead the team responsible for core network services while owning the infrastructure roadmap, operational health, budget, and vendor relationships.\nIf you enjoy developing technical talent, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and building reliable technology at scale, we’d love to hear from you.\nThis role is open to candidates in Florida. However, a hybrid work structure at our Head Office in Boca Raton is preferred.\nWhat you'll do\nTeam Leadership & Development\nLead, coach, and develop a team of network professionals, providing technical direction and supporting career growth.\nSet team priorities and performance expectations, providing feedback, development, and performance management.\nSupport hiring, workforce planning, and resource allocation to meet current and future network needs.\nNetwork Infrastructure & Operations\nOwn the network infrastructure roadmap, translating business needs into scalable architecture and technology priorities.\nCoordinate with Security team for the design, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing management of core network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, and encryption management.\nEstablish network standards, policies, and work within change management practices to maintain a secure and reliable environment.\nLead response to network incidents, including root-cause analysis and post-incident improvements.\nContinuously improve network reliability, performance, and customer experience.\nPlanning & Vendor Management\nManage network infrastructure budgets, vendors, contracts, hardware, software, and connectivity services.\nEvaluate infrastructure needs and recommend solutions that support business growth and evolving technology requirements.\nPartner with IT leadership and cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades, security initiatives, and business projects.\nAbout You\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.\n8+ years of enterprise IT networking experience.\n3+ years of experience leading, mentoring, or supervising technical professionals.\nStrong expertise in IP network design and administration, including VLANs, subnetting, VPNs, wireless, remote connectivity, and access control.\nStrong experience with Cisco networking technologies, including firewalls and load balancing.\nHands-on experience with NAC/802.1X, Zero Trust, and network security technologies.\nAdvanced network troubleshooting and structured change management experience.\nExperience with BGP routing and cloud network integration, such as AWS Direct Connect.\nExperience deploying, tuning, and monitoring enterprise wireless infrastructure.\nFamiliarity with network monitoring, configuration management, version control, and automation tools.\nExperience managing budgets, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.\nStrong communication, customer service, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage competing priorities and support occasional evenings/weekends or IT on-call requirements.\nCCNP or equivalent hands-on expertise; CCIE is an asset.\nExperience with Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.\nFamiliarity with ITIL practices.\nExperience scaling enterprise networks through rapid organizational growth.\nA D-Waver's DNA\nWe look at the future and say “why not”; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines.
