You will work closely with Engineering, Production, Lab Technicians, and Engineering Change Control to assemble, test, document, and improve complex systems and processes.\nWe are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\nWhat you'll do\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, assembly instructions, BOMs, schematics, and P&IDs\nAssemble and install mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies, gas handling racks, manifolds, panels, brackets, tubing systems, vacuum components, and related hardware\nCut, bend, route, and install stainless steel tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, gauges, sensors, pumps, and related instrumentation\nInstall, align, fasten, and adjust components to ensure proper fit and function\nSupport basic electrical assembly tasks, including cable routing, connector installation, labeling, and simple test setup asrequired\nSafely and accurately use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment\nPerform drilling, tapping, deburring, fitting, alignment, minor mechanical modifications, pressure and vacuum testing, and helium leak checking\nComplete production logs, work orders, inspection records, and assembly documentation\nCommunicate build status, technical questions, and improvement ideas clearly and proactively\nSupport improvements to assembly methods, tooling, fixtures, work instructions, and documentation\nFollow safety protocols andmaintaina safe, clean, and organized work area\nProvide general lab, production, shipping/receiving, and shop support as needed\nRequired\nPost-secondary technical diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience\n4+ years of hands-on experience assembling complex mechanical or electromechanical systems\nExperience with tubing, fittings, manifolds, gas, vacuum, or pressure systems, instrumentation, or mechanical rack assembly\nComfortable using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, measuring tools, and basic shop equipment\nAble to read and follow engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and written work instructions, including multi-level BOMs\nStrong attention to detail and ability to performaccuratework with minimal supervision\nSelf-motivated, proactive, reliable, and collaborative\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills\nWillingness to ask questions, learn new skills, and contribute practical ideas\nComfortable sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and working with mechanical assemblies for extended periods\nAble to lift and move objects up to 50lbs\nNice to have\nSwagelok or similar compression fitting experience \nHigh-vacuum leak checking, pressure testing, or cryogenic assembly experience \nPump maintenance or machine shop experience \nShipping and receiving experience \nExperience working in a startup, R&D, or low-volume, high-complexity production environment \nAdditionalrequirements\nFlexibility to support peak production periods as needed \nWillingness to support lab, field, production, or shop activities asneeded\nCommitment to safe work practices, quality workmanship, and respectful collaboration\nA D-Waver's DNA\nWe look at the future and say “why not”; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines.
