In this role, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot, and integrate mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, including gas handling racks, manifolds, tubing systems, and vacuum hardware used in our advanced quantum computing systems. Working closely with Engineering, Production, Laboratory Operations, and Supply Chain, you will help ensure products are manufactured, tested, and documented to the highest quality standards while supporting continuous improvements to manufacturing processes.\nThis role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.If you enjoy solving technical problems and contributing to the production ofcutting-edgetechnology,we'dlove to hear from you!\nWhat you'll do\nAssemble, integrate, inspect, and verify mechanical and electromechanical assembliesin accordance withmanufacturing documentation, quality standards, and safety procedures. \nBuild, install, and troubleshoot gas handling racks, manifolds, tubing systems, vacuum hardware, and related mechanical assemblies. \nCut, bend, route, and install tubing, fittings, valves, regulators, gauges, sensors, and other mechanical components. \nPerform pressure and vacuum testing, helium leak testing, pump servicing, and other mechanical validation activities. \nSupport engineering validation builds, prototype assemblies, new product introductions (NPI), and engineering change implementations. \nDesign and fabricate jigs and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and repeatability. \nExecute work orders andmaintainaccurateproduction, test, and traceability records. \nDevelop and improve manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and test documentation. \nCollaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve manufacturing issues and improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability. \nMaintain production equipment, tools, and test fixtures to ensure safe and reliableoperation. \nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and manufacturing processes. \nProvide general production and laboratory support as needed.\nRequired\nDiploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience. \n3+ years of experience assembling complex mechanical or electromechanical systems in a manufacturing environment. \nExperience working with tubing, fittings, gas, vacuum, or pressure systems. \nExperience with soldering, crimping, wire management, and mechanical assembly techniques. \nAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). \nExperience performing pressure testing, vacuum testing, leak testing, and mechanical troubleshooting. \nExperience using ERP and work order systems; NetSuite and Jira experience is considered an asset. \nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail. \nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills. \nAbility to stand or sit for extended periods and safelylift upto 50 lbs.\nNice to have\nExperience withcryogenic systems, high-vacuum systems, or vacuum pump maintenance.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to customer sites or company facilities, as needed.\nA D-Waver's DNA\nWe look at the future and say “why not”; we see possibilities where others see problems or routines.
