The candidate selected through this program will not receive compensation or benefits through D2 Consulting but will rather remain an employee of DOD and will receive compensation and benefits through the DOD. You will perform numerous functions to include Systems Administration, Property/Asset Management, Testing, and Configuration Management functions. This position will require up to 50% travel as well as travel to Chantilly, VA. A valid Driver’s License is required for this role.\nSystem Administration duties:\nManage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems\nHelp maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems\nMaintain system documentation\nInteract with users and evaluate vendor products\nCoordinate hardware and software installation and provide backup recovery\nMonitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources\nParticipate in systems testing and document results\nProvide advice and training to end-users\nMaintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned\nMonitor IMS and reporting incidents with directives\nMonitor Ams/DMs to determine possible impacts to operations of services\nMonitor and clean-up orphaned tickets\nMonitor and enforce compliance of Incident Management Policy\nMaintain Incident Management policy\nWork to improve situational awareness\nMonitor and facilitate resolution of tickets older than 30 days\nMonitor and facilitate tasks for the Problem Management team\nControl, disseminate, and monitor ticket queues\nDraft Service Maintenance/Outage/Restoral Announcements\nFacilitate the creation and submission of after-action reports for major incidents and outages when applicable\nCommunicate and coordinate with Incident Managers and/or representatives from other contracts when necessary\nExercise independent judgement and decision making\nParticipates in special projects as required\nProperty/Asset Management duties:\nDevelop and implement system improvements, processes and procedures, and training necessary to manage and protect government and corporate property investments; supervises assigned staff\nEnsure timely receipt, acquisition, identification, documentation, maintenance, inventory, movement, and storage of property\nEnsure proper disposition of obsolete and excess assets\nParticipate in the taking of physical inventories, and provide a quarterly inventory report\nEnsure that periodic reviews are completed to verify that appropriate custodial organizations properly maintain and use property, and that records are properly maintained\nTesting duties:\nSupport software testing, QA, and CM activities\nReview and evaluate software products and systems to ensure adherence to company and customer quality standards\nDevelop software/systems testing procedures and conduct tests\nWork with software developers and engineers to understand requirements, identify test scope and acceptance criteria for release components\nFollow QA release checklist\nProvide QA input to improve installation guides and general deployment documentation\nDevelop and update technical documentation such as test reports\nAs needed, provide other QA related and Configuration Management (CM) support\nQualifications:\nActive TS/SCI w/CI Poly\nExperience supporting information systems operations\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written\nStrong analytical skills\nAdditional Information\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nD2 Technical Services is committed to a merit-based recruitment process and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
