This position does require travel to local sites up to 15% and may require travel to further CONUS/OCONUS locations on a voluntary basis.\nCoordination of system maintenance, monitoring and installation of multiple WAN/LAN environments encompassing multiple specializations, platforms and technologies. \nAssist with research and implementation of enterprise system-wide network solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/mission goals and objectives.\nTroubleshoot and resolve network media and components.\nEvaluate and monitor health and performance of the network including hardware and management software.\nDevelop and maintain a road map for capabilities, operations, and technologies.\nAssist with development and execution of test plans and supporting documentation of all network configuration upgrades, additions or revisions for customer approval before implementation.\nSupport network traffic analysis and bandwidth optimization efforts to ensure attainment of performance and availability objectives.\nEvaluate and report on new/emerging network/communication technologies to enhance capacity, performance and reliability of the network.\nEvaluate and recommend changes and/or technology upgrades to address performance, standardization and industry best practices\nFollows all Customer network security processes and procedures, ensures compliance with all Government policies.\nRepresent customer requirements in technical exchanges with other government agencies.\nPerform site surveys to new installations and technology refresh.\nInstalls, maintains and troubleshoots satellite communications equipment.\nDevelop and maintain network architecture diagrams.\nQualifications:\nRequired:\nSecurity Clearance: active TS/SCI\n8+ years related technical experience in Network and Transport technologies, tools, and techniques\n4+ years’ experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment\nUnderstanding and experience with the DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture and strategic planning instructions\n Experience with Juniper, switches, routers, and firewalls. (MX, EX, QFX, SRX devices) Cryptographic devices (KG-175G/F/X, KG-142)\nExperience with Network analysis tools (Network monitoring, AAA solutions, security analysis tools, etc…)\nExperience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET, SIPRNET, JWICS, and other external environments\nExperience with switching/LAN/L2 technologies, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, RSVP/LDP L2/3VPNs, VRFs, IKE/IPSec, GRE tunnels, MTU/MSS, Import/Export policies, IPv4, IKE/IPSEC, Multicast, COS/QOS, SNMP, SYSLOG, AAA, etc…\nExperience with planning hardware for a new site installation or recap effort of existing equipment, planning projects, drafting network diagrams, drafting engineering configurations\nExperience with troubleshooting network environments and providing regular updates\nCertifications: IAT II\nDesired:\nJNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, CISCO CCNP, CCVP, CCNA or CCDP (or equivalent)\nITIL v3 Foundations\nISC2 CISSP\nExperience with integrating multi-vendor cloud environments\nExperience with network automation via Python/PYEZ or Ansible\nExperience with Open-Text Network Automation, Network Node Manager, ScienceLogic SL1, Forward Networks, Cisco ISE, Aruba Clearpass, Juniper Route Director, Juniper Security Appliance, Riverbed, Infoblox & NetTerrain\nAdditional Information\nAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nCompensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $135-$145k.
