This role ensures that all internal and external systems are aligned, discrepancies are promptly identified and resolved, and compliance with banking regulations and internal controls is maintained.\n Manage the reconciliation of all retail banking transactions, including but not limited to, deposits, withdrawals, card payments, ATM transactions, checks, and electronic transfers.\nEnsure that all transactions across customer accounts, internal ledgers, and external financial institutions (banks, payment processors) are reconciled accurately and within deadlines.\nEnsure the integrity and accuracy of daily, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations, ensuring alignment between various systems, including core banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party vendors.\nIdentify discrepancies or variances between internal records and external financial data (e.g., bank statements, third-party systems) and take ownership of resolving these discrepancies in a timely manner.\nInvestigate complex reconciliation issues and escalate unresolved matters to senior management or relevant stakeholders, providing recommendations for resolution.\nOversee the reconciliation of bank accounts and cash transactions, ensuring that all deposits, withdrawals, and transfers are recorded and processed accurately.\nWork closely with treasury teams to ensure accurate cash flow management and settlement of transactions.\nEnsure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., anti-money laundering, KYC, and financial crime prevention) in the reconciliation processes.\nPerform any other duties assigned to by line manager related to the nature of the work\nEnforce, incorporate, and comply with all necessary controls and related information security (EIS) policies, procedures, practices, training, reporting, personal due diligence and vigilance, within departmental/unit activities and operations\n Preferred Qualifications\nA tertiary-level qualification from an internationally/regionally recognized institution, preferably with a focus on Accounting, Business, or Finance\nYears & Nature of Experience\nRecommended to 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience where required competencies and experience has been demonstrated\nAn experienced professional who is able to deliver on difficult technical tasks\nHas project implementation experience\nIs self-sufficient at work and could be given small project responsibility\nHas provided technical supervision to junior staff in the past\nStrong understanding of retail banking transactions, financial systems, and reconciliation processes.\nIn-depth knowledge of core banking systems, payment systems, and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Finastra).\nExpertise in bank account reconciliation, cash management, and financial reporting.\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex reconciliation issues.\nTechnical
