To maximise profit whilst not compromising quality and service by providing effective solutions to FTL, LTL and groupage requirements.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate the accurate dispatch of domestic Long Distance vehicles, including ADR and customs requirements where applicable, ensuring all documentation is prepared and processed correctly.\nPlan and book vehicles and loading capacity to meet customer requirements, while maintaining DACHSER quality standards and departmental KPIs.\nManage the day-to-day administration and monitoring of domestic Long Distance operations using a range of DACHSER systems and tools.\nProcess purchase invoices and maintain real-time cost accruals to support effective financial control.\nBuild and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across Northampton, the UK network, and international DACHSER branches.\nEffectively manage supplier relationships to secure cost-effective solutions and consistently high levels of service.\nEnsure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and operational best practices at all times.\nIdentify opportunities to maximise profitability while maintaining service excellence and customer satisfaction.\nRespond promptly to customer requests for domestic charter and groupage services, delivering efficient and commercially viable transport solutions.\nMaintain an up-to-date supplier database to ensure a broad range of reliable and competitive transport options are available.\nEnsure all reports, records, and operational documentation are completed accurately and within required timescales.\nContribute to the continuous improvement of operational processes, service quality, and overall business performance.\nThe Ideal Candidate Will Have\nExcellent communication skills - with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.\nStrong planning and organisational skills\nExcellent problem-solving skills.\nAttention to detail and high level of accuracy\nExcellent IT skills\nExcellent standard of customer service\nSolid time management\nHighly adaptable\nConfident and approachable\nGood geographical knowledge\nPrevious Transport Experience\nBenefits That Support You\nAt DACHSER, we believe in taking care of our people - inside and outside of work.
