In addition to manufacturing, the site provides comprehensive aircraft maintenance, technical support, and quality oversight, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and customer requirements, while continuing to expand production capabilities and reinforcing its role as a center of excellence for rugged, mission-ready turboprop aircraft within Daher’s global network.\n\nJob Description:\nKodiak Aircraft is seeking motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our Coatings Team. The Aircraft Coatings Processor performs critical surface preparation, chemical processing, masking, priming, painting, finishing, and inspection activities that support the production of world-class aircraft. Working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, this position ensures aircraft structures, components, and assemblies meet engineering specifications, quality standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.\nPrimary Role and Responsibilities:\nPrepare aircraft parts and surfaces through cleaning, sanding, scuffing, chemical treatment, masking, and other surface preparation processes.\nPerform coating preparation, mixing, application, and finishing activities in accordance with engineering specifications and manufacturing procedures.\nProcess components through coating, treatment, curing, and finishing operations.\nOperate coating equipment, spray systems, processing equipment, and related tools safely and effectively.\nInspect completed work for defects, contamination, coating quality, and compliance with requirements.\nRead and follow work instructions, engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing procedures.\nMix and handle coatings, chemicals, solvents, sealants, and related materials according to established processes.\nMaintain coating booths, processing equipment, tools, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.\nComplete production documentation and accurately record work performed.\nIdentify and report quality, safety, equipment, or process concerns.\nSupport continuous improvement, 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety initiatives.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and other departments to support production goals.\nFollow all company policies, environmental regulations, and safety requirements.\nWhat you’ll be doing day-to-day:\nPreparing aircraft surfaces and components for coating and processing operations.\nPerforming chemical treatment, masking, coating application, finishing, and related processing activities.\nInspecting parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.\nWorking closely with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering teams to support production objectives.\nOperating and maintaining coating and processing equipment.\nSupporting production schedules while maintaining exceptional workmanship.\nEnsuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.\nOther duties may be assigned\nWhat you need to have\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED.\n2+ years of aerospace, manufacturing, industrial coatings, chemical processing, surface preparation, or related production experience.\nAbility to read and follow written instructions, procedures, and specifications.\nBasic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, and manufacturing equipment.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators when required.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical work throughout the shift.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.\nPreferred Qualifications\n3-5 years of aerospace coatings, aircraft painting, industrial painting, or related manufacturing experience.\nTrade school, vocational training, or technical certification.\nExperience operating HVLP spray equipment and coating application systems.\nExperience with aircraft primers, topcoats, sealants, and specialty coatings.\nExperience reading blueprints, technical drawings, or engineering specifications.\nFamiliarity with Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles.\nExperience working in a regulated manufacturing environment such as aerospace, automotive, defense, or industrial manufacturing.\nInformation related to the position:\nThe compensation range is $23.00 to $27.00 per hour.\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline;
