Beyond final assembly is comprehensive customer service, aircraft maintenance, technical support, and quality oversight, while continuing to engineer the next generation of Kodiak capability.\nDaher Kodiak Aircraft isseekinga highly capable Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help turnaircraftdesign intent into repeatable, efficient, and controlled manufacturing execution.\nThis role sits at the intersection of Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production, Quality, Tooling, Supply Chain, ERP, and cost. You will improve how theaircraftis built by strengthening methods, sequencing, manufacturing documentation, tooling needs, and design-for-manufacturing feedback.\nThis is more than a support role. It is an ownership role for someone who can work side-by-side with mechanics, solve root-cause production issues, and improve a low-rate, high-complexityaircraftproduction system.\nWhy this role matters: better manufacturing methods, clearer build sequences, practical tooling, and stronger DFM decisions reduce rework, labor hours, and build inconsistency while protecting production execution.\nWhat Makes This Role Senior:\nSeniormeansownership, judgment, and credibility. We are looking for someone who can independently diagnose production constraints, connect design, manufacturing, quality, ERP, and cost, and drive practical improvements through completion rather than applying short-term patches.\nPrimary Role and Responsibilities:\nWork directly with mechanics and production teams to solve real build problems and make processes clear, ergonomic, and executable.\nRedesign build sequences, work content, and line flow across fabrication, subassembly, and final assembly where needed.\nPerform DFM analysis using CAD models and engineeringdrawings, andtranslate design intent into efficient manufacturing methods.\nAuthor manufacturing prints or models that ease production whileremainingtraceable to type design and within fit, form, and function.\nBuild and present the case for type design changes when manufacturing documentation alone is not sufficient.\nReduce labor hours, rework, bottlenecks, and recurring production friction through better methods, sequencing, tooling, and ERP alignment.\nWhat you need to have:\nBachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, ora relatedfield.\n10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in aerospace or complex assembly.\nStrong hands-on understanding of machining, sheet metal, welding, composites, and mechanical or electrical assembly.\nStrong CADproficiencyand fluency reading engineering drawings, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5.\nDemonstratedexperience with DFM analysis and manufacturing-specific documentation distinct from type design documentation.\nSolid ERP experience such as Epicor or SAP, includingeBOM/mBOMreconciliation androutings.\nProven ability to fix problems at the root, make systems simpler and more robust, and drive projects through completion.\nPreferred:\nExperience in general aviation or low-rate high-mix aerospace production, introducing manufacturing print or DFM practices to an existing product, AS9100 or FAA/FAR Part 23 manufacturing environments, and supplier manufacturability or delivery issue resolution.\nWhy Kodiak Aircraft in Sandpoint?\nAt Kodiak Aircraft, Manufacturing Engineering has a direct impact on howaircraftare built every day.
