Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!\nLocation: Plymouth, MN - On-site\nYour Responsibilities:\nDevelop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope\nUnder supervision, give limited advice and analyze information within a specific function for others within the organization\nUnder the close guidance of experienced engineers, evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations on products, designs, and cost improvements to improve the competitive position of the company\nIdentify and procure materials needed to construct prototypes and participate in the design engineering of new models\nSupport the planning and development of test programs for prototypes\nAnalyze test data and reports to determine if designs meet functional and performance specifications\nAssist in analyzing, evaluating, sourcing, and coordinating the procurement of new materials and components to support model changes\nWith direction, analyze, evaluate, and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes\nPerform technical analysis of competitive products\nProvide support to sales and marketing on product presentations and customer literature\nProvide support to manufacturing to implement controls systems in manufactured products\nYour Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience\nAbility to work cooperatively and effectively with laboratory, design, and product marketing teams\nAbility to effectively coordinate and communicate with vendors to perform work and services relating to mechanical/electrical facility systems\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMaster’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, or related field\nUnderstanding of HVAC equipment and components\nAbility to read an electrical schematic\nExposure to fundamentals of instrumentation, including RTDs, thermocouples, pressure transducers, flow meters, electrical and power measurements, and analog/digital data acquisition\nFormal coursework in the areas of measurement systems, heat transfer, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, machine design, and strength of materials\nProgramming experience\nYour Benefits:\nDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMultiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance \n401K retirement plan with employer match\nPaid time off and company-paid holidays\nPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law\nTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service \nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position\nThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,000-$124,300 in Virginia.
