Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!\nLocation: Plymouth, MN\nShift Hours:\n 2nd shift: 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM Monday - Thursday (10% shift differential)\nYour Responsibilities:\nPerform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard.\nPerform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance.\nSet up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments.\nIdentify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions.\nEnsure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times.\nMaintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.\nMaintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams.\nObtain fork truck training/license, scissor lift training/license, or refrigerant handling certifications.\nPerform test unit setup according to lab procedures and test request requirements.\nCreate records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures.\nImprove laboratory activities on a continuous basis.\nImplement corrective and preventative actions.\nAnalyze, troubleshoot, and repair test units and facilities.\nProvide direction, assistance and training to other technicians (senior roles only).\nYour Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree in HVAC&R or related experience\nExperience related to mechanical test lab or field service (preferred)\nFork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, or R410a card (preferred)\nMentorship experience (preferred)\nYour Benefits:\nDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMultiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance \n401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions\nCompany provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage\nShort-term and long-term disability\n3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company-paid holidays\nVacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state, and local law requires a faster accrual\nPaid sick time in accordance of the federal, state and local law\nPaid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service\nThe employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
