Come be part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive everything we do!\nLocation: Toronto, ON - Onsite\nYour Responsibilities:\nProvide responsive and professional customer service with the goal of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships\n\nAssist with onsite building surveys as required for qualified service solution opportunities to further qualify or gather data required for the sales process and assistance to Account Managers and Application Engineers\n\nIdentify, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot direct digital control systems\n\nProvide remote initial diagnostics for technicians and Customer’s with monitoring support with a first look diagnostic, intended to determine a potential mechanical or controls opportunity\n\nProvide controls technical support to other controls or mechanical technicians as required\n\nPerform preventative maintenance, commissioning, and replacement modifications as needed or requested by customers\n\nMaintain building automation systems by inspecting trend logs, reports, schedules, applications, hardware, and programming\n\nProvide programming, graphics and web user interface setup, commissioning and installation assistance as needed with control service and installations\n\nAssist in verification that control sequences meet scope, design, or specifications\n\nProvide training and follow-ups for customers and operations personnel\n\nComplete work orders and review with customers for accuracy\n\nContinually look for ways to improve our processes and ability to serve our customers effectively\n\nMaintain strong collaboration with other business and functional leaders within Daikin including direct managers, sales and application engineers, energy engineers and project managers\n\nActively participate in performance evaluations of Controls Technicians, providing feedback on technical skills, attitude, thoroughness, teamwork and developmental suggestions for technicians\n\nParticipate in on call rotation\n\nYour Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nAssociate’s Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)\n\n5+ years of related HVAC controls experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nNiagara N4 and/or Niagara AX Certification (preferred)\n\nValid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record\n\nRequired license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district\n\nRotational Emergency Call Support availability as required\n\nPrevious experience in mentoring less experienced technicians\n\nExperience with any common integration protocols such as: BACnet MST / IP, LON, Modbus TCP / RTU, Ethernet OIP, MQTT, or SQL (preferred)\n\nEPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)\n\nOSHA 10 certification (preferred)\n\nCurrent first aid / CPR card (preferred)\n\nYour Benefits:\nDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMultiple medical insurance plan options plus dental and vision insurance\n\n401K retirement plan with employer match\n\nPaid time off and company paid holidays\n\nPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law\n\nTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service\n\nDaikin Applied provides technicians with a logoed company vehicle, laptops, mobile devices, and other technologies\n\nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position\nThe typical hourly pay rate for this position ranges from $44.20 - $69.10 in ON.
