Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!\nLocation: Phoenix, Arizona\nWhat you will do:\nPartner with Engineering to review project requirements and identify materials, components, equipment, and services necessary to support custom project execution.\nSource, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to obtain the best combination of quality, cost, delivery, and service while meeting project timelines.\nGenerate and manage purchase orders in a completely manual purchasing environment to ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer commitments.\nNegotiate pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost and performance objectives.\nEstablish and maintain supplier relationships, including coordinating new vendor setup within Oracle and a manual vendor scorecard.\nManually monitor supplier performance, purchase order status, and material deliveries to ensure on-time receipt of required materials.\nServe as the primary liaison between Engineering, Receiving, Scheduling, Production, and suppliers to communicate delivery status and assess the impact of material shortages or delays on production schedules.\nIdentify, evaluate, and implement alternate sourcing strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions, support new market expansion, and address supplier performance issues.\nExpedite critical material requirements and respond to urgent production needs to minimize manufacturing downtime.\nCollaborate with Accounts Payable and suppliers to investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and other procurement-related concerns.\nPrepare and provide monthly project cost reports and project completion cost summaries to Finance.\nSupport procurement activities for non-inventory goods and services required for facility operations.\nAssist the Warranty Team by creating purchase orders, onboarding vendors, and coordinating procurement activities related to customer site repairs and corrective actions.\nMaintain accurate purchasing records, supplier documentation, and procurement data in Oracle and other applicable systems.\nProvide guidance, training, and technical support to Buyer I and Buyer II team members, promoting consistent purchasing practices and processes.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives focused on supplier performance, purchasing efficiency, inventory management, and cost reduction.\nPerform other procurement, sourcing, and supply chain coordination duties as assigned.\nWhat’s in it for you:\nThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth\nThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best\nMinimum Qualifications:\n4 Year Bachelor's Degree in or Equivalent in Business administration, or related field\n4-6 years related experience\nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position\nBenefits:\nDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: \nMultiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance \n401K retirement plan with employer contributions matching 100% of the first 3% of employee contributions and 50% on the next 2% of employee contributions\nCompany provided life insurance + optional employee paid voluntary life insurance, dependent life coverage and voluntary accident coverage\nShort term and long-term disability\n3 weeks of paid time off for new employees + 11 company paid holidays\nVacation accrues on a monthly basis, unless applicable federal, state and local law requires a faster accrual\nPaid sick time in accordance of the federal, state and local law\nPaid parental leave and tuition reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service\nThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $66,000 - $108,000 in Arizona.
