This person will accurately produce machine parts, assemblies and sheet metal components in a safe and efficient manner by performing the duties listed below. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!\nLocation: Onsite, Plymouth, MN (1st shift)\nYour Responsibilities:\nCreate machined parts, assemblies and sheet metal components using blueprints, sketches or verbal direction. Review sketches, drawings, photographs, mating parts, verbal and written descriptions to determine metal type, fabrication method, fastening and assembly points, raw stock, fastener sizes, hole locations, part dimensions, fabrication sequence, methods, and procedures\nOperate and maintain a wide variety of machine tools in a safe and efficient manner including; milling machines, lathes, drill presses, punch presses, sheet metal shears and brakes, welding and brazing equipment, etc.\nProvide recommendations to Management regarding procedures, process improvements and equipment upgrades\nMaintain cleanliness of the Model Shop area and ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and stock to prevent loss\nEnsure safe and efficient operation of Model Shop through the training of personnel, organization of equipment, and management of toolcrib and Technology Center supplies\nTrain other employees in day-to-day procedures.\nYour Qualifications:\nAssociate’s degree or Equivalent Experience\nMinimum of six years of relevant experience\nYour Preferred Qualifications:\nUniversal Refrigeration Certificate\nYour Benefits:\nDaikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMultiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance \n401K retirement plan with employer match\nPaid time off and company paid holidays\nPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law\nTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service \nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nThe typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $28.65 to $47.04 per hour in Minnesota.
