This newly added position will plan, direct, and coordinate activities of designated data center projects to ensure that goals of each project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters. This role will initially focus on Daikin Applied’s substantial growth in Colorado’s data center vertical. Additional 50-75% travel within the West Region (including CA, CO, ID, NV, WA, WY and the province of British Columbia) as new regional projects develop.\nWhat you will do:\nProject Management Leadership:\nDirects all phases of data center projects, from initial planning through final warranty and maintenance, ensuring seamless coordination between stakeholders and adherence to project timelines and budgets.\n\nReviews project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project\n\nEstablishes fulfillment budget for assigned projects by revising the original estimate based on validated project scope. Responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the forecasted cost at completion.\n\nResponsible for project cash-flow management: progress billing, collections support and monitoring, and resource management.\n\nStrategic Planning and Coordination:\nDevelops detailed project plans, staffing strategies, and schedules, working closely with National Account Managers and project teams to allocate resources effectively and achieve project goals.\n\nSupervises the preparation of plans and specifications for the design/installation of solutions in buildings.\n\nCreates and makes revisions to project schedules including: generating tasks, estimates, dependencies; milestones, Project Analysis.\n\nObtains acceptance and timely sign-off of the project by the customer.\n\nResponsible for the successful transition of warranty to the service process.\n\nCompliance and Safety Oversight:\nEnsures projects comply with all regulatory requirements and safety standards, collaborating with governmental agencies and safety managers to maintain a safe working environment throughout project execution.\n\nImplements risk analysis and mitigation strategies, reviews project status reports, and adjusts plans as needed to optimize project efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.\n\nEnsures compliance with internal contracting processes.\n\nResponsible for change order management by recommending solutions, facilitating quotes and closing orders.\n\nProposed Development and Reporting:\nPrepares comprehensive proposals detailing project scope, milestones, and billing schedules, and delivers regular progress reports to management and clients to maintain transparency and manage expectations.\n\nStakeholder Management and Customer Relations:\nEstablishes and maintains strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams, resolving issues promptly to uphold customer satisfaction and ensure successful project outcomes.\n\nResponsible for timely completion of assigned projects and customer satisfaction.\n\nCommunicates with customers and their representatives, including building owners, mechanical contractors, other trades, subcontractors, and field support staff.\n\nMeets with contractors and owners to discuss scope of project; budgets; performance; and close-out.\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n4+ years related experience with a combination of Commercial HVAC work and/or Data Centers.\n\nBachelor’s degree in a relatable field. Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of education.\n\nInterest, knowledge and ability to navigate working on a construction site to support the installation, start up and warranty of commercial HVAC systems and services.\n\nNew construction project management experience related to mechanicals, specifically chiller installation and commissioning.\n\nFlexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.\n\n50% - 75% travel.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPrior experience working with Data Center Solutions.\n\nProficient knowledge of HVAC designs, applications, and energy saving solutions.\n\nProject Management Certification such as PMP, PMI, Six Sigma.\n\nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position.\nBenefits: Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements:\nMultiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance\n\n401K retirement plan with employer match\n\nPaid time off and company paid holidays\n\nPaid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law\n\nTuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service\n\nThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $111,000 - $188,000 in Denver + a 15% bonus incentive plan. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
