In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance for commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. The HVAC equipment you will be servicing includes but is not limited to large and small rooftop units, split systems, chillers, and boilers. Come be a part of an exciting journey at Daikin Applied, where innovation and excellence drive our every endeavor!\nLocation: Las Vegas, NV - Onsite\nWhat you will do:\nPerform service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality including but not limited to chillers, fan coils, water source heat pumps, applied air handling units, rooftop units, cooling towers, and condenser tubes\n\nRepair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring\n\nMaintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems to prevent premature and unexpected breakdowns or callbacks\n\nPerform intermediate and advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment\n\nConduct warranty service application by independently inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality of all commercial HVAC equipment\n\nEducate technical and non-technical customers on proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual usage\n\nLead and participate in the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC level units including the direction of apprentice level technicians through hands-on demonstration of the necessary steps\n\nRecord and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required and in a timely manner\n\nDownload programs into commercial HVAC equipment and Micro controllers and analyze chiller trend data to ensure optimal performance\n\nParticipate in available training through regional technician trainers, and off-site learning modules\n\nMaintain all required certifications and continue to develop new skill sets\n\nEnsure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld\n\nComplete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service and adhere to Daikin Applied and customer safety policies and OSHA guidelines\n\nWhat’s in it for you:\nFactory Certified Training, Refrigeration Certification or other professional on the job training in the HVAC Industry\n\nThe opportunity to work on all types of commercial equipment and cutting-edge technologies such as Intelligent Equipment\n\nDaikin Applied provides technicians with company vehicle, laptops, mobile devices, and other technologies\n\nThe ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth\n\nThe support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best\n\nThe opportunity to work for a leading innovator in HVAC and make a difference in environmental initiatives to create a more sustainable world for all\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\n5+ years related experience with increasing responsibility; or 7+ related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nAccepted as Journeyman by the union\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED\n\nTechnical school with HVAC certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience\n\nValid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record\n\nRotational Emergency Call Support\n\nRequired license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district\n\nWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMember of local union or willing to join the union\n\nCommercial HVAC Industry Experience\n\nPrevious experience in mentoring less experienced technicians\n\nOSHA 10 within 90 days of hire (Daikin provides this training during onboarding process)\n\nCurrent first aid / CPR card\n\nThe expected hourly rate for this position is $48/hr in NV.
