This role establishes, maintains, and communicates statistical data on tracking product shipments, returns, and inventory. It supports the logistics business functions and helps develop strategy from a data standpoint. Additionally, it manages individual and departmental projects that aim to enhance logistics efficiency and service to customers.\nPosition Responsibilities\nDevelop relationships with business stakeholders to serve as a direct contact for logistics issues.\nExtract data and generate reports to assist in performance tracking and decision-making.\nPerform data validation, cleansing, profiling, baseline development, and scenario modeling.\nCalculate labor, equipment, facility, and expense requirements based on transportation and warehousing design assumptions.\nDevelop process flows, concepts of operations, and value propositions; collaborate with IT to create system concepts.\nCreate optimization scenarios and strategies aligned with objectives.\nAnalyze logistics operations and build decision support systems.\nConduct research to respond to customer requests.\nDevelop, test, and deploy scripts, programs, and software to automate and improve business processes, reports, and decisions.\nMaintain data systems to house and share critical logistics data, ensuring accessibility for data consumers.\nProvide suggestions and ideas to improve business processes.\nIdentify value-creation opportunities for the company.\nAid in the development and implementation of solutions, including leveraging advanced technologies such as machine learning, warehouse automation, and sophisticated optimization algorithms.\nComplete project work internally within the department and externally with other departments to ensure on-time completion within budget.\nMeet project schedules as assigned.\nMaintain high-quality data governance.\nPerform additional projects/duties to support ongoing business needs.\nNature & Scope\nApplies practical knowledge of job areas obtained through advanced education and work experience.\nEncouraged to seek continuous improvements.\nPerforms a range of mainly straightforward assignments.\nWorks independently with general supervision.\nProblems faced are difficult but not typically complex.\nKnowledge & Skills\nExperience or specialization within supply chain/operations research preferred but not required.\nWorking knowledge of programming languages, applications, and database tools.\nEffective analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong organizational and time management skills.\nAbility to work independently on multiple tasks and projects with various teams.\nEffective verbal and written communication skills, including collaboration and interpersonal skills.\nDemonstrated analytical, quantitative, and creative problem-solving abilities.\nSelf-directed with solid collaboration and professional team-building skills.\nStrong problem-solving skills.\nProficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); SQL preferred.\nStrong work ethic, judgment, and decision-making skills.\nExperience\n3-5 years of relevant experience.\nProject management experience required.\nEducation/Certification\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, or computer science required, or equivalent relevant work experience with formal training and certifications.\nSix Sigma certification preferred.\nPeople Management\nNo\nPhysical Requirements / Work Environment\nMust be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.\nProlonged periods of sitting and working from a computer.\nTravel up to 5%.\nOccasional work in environments with forklift traffic; PPE may be required.\nSome lifting may be required (up to 20 lbs.).\nReports To\nDirector of Deployment Systems or Integrated Logistics\nQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
