Maintains ample levels of inventory to meet delivery and service expectations of all branch customers. Performs a variety of warehouse duties that may include packing, pulling/checking customer orders, replenishment, shipping and material handling. May use automated warehouse management system.\nPosition Responsibilities may include:\nManage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse including staffing and assigned duties of all personnel are completed on a daily basis in a timely and safe manner. Review and approve hours worked and PTO using Kronos.\nResponsible for building and maintaining morale in the warehouse by demonstrating leadership qualities and setting an example for staff, promoting teamwork both within the branch and local team. Develop employee’s skills and knowledge with proper training and guidance and assist them at reaching their full potential.\nStay current with part number and line codes. Conduct cycle counts and keep dead stock at a minimum.\nAudit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock.\nProcess and document transactions and reports timely and accurately. (cycle counts, inventory, driver records, safety incidents, damaged product, etc.)\nEnsure the safe use of warehouse equipment and employees are completing pre and post shift forklift and truck inspections as well as reporting any concerns. Maintain equipment and fix or replace malfunctioning equipment/trucks.\nEstablish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve efficient warehouse operations.\nCommunicate with other departments to ensure timely and safe shipment of products.\nMaintain working knowledge/understanding of company policies and procedures and employee handbook policies. Consult with Management and Human Resources for clarification as well as employee\nIdentify and implement continuous improvement processes.\nKeep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations\nAssist with material handling at warehouse including lifting. May operate hand and power equipment for material handling to accommodate storage of products throughout warehouse. Load and unload trucks as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned\nNature & Scope:\nCoordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations team\nSets priorities for the team to ensure task completion\nDecisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager\nAccountable for the support or production operations team including subordinate work leaders\nTypically does not spend more than 20% of one's time performing the work supervised\nKnowledge & Skills:\nProven leadership, coaching / mentoring, employee development and performance management skills\nExtensive knowledge of warehouse/inventory management\nEffective verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills\nStrong organizational and time management skills and ability to effectively delegate tasks\nHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy\nExcellent problem-solving skills, with ability to apply sound judgment\nStrong working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook & Excel, Mincron and a Scanner\nProven customer service experience with high level of customer satisfaction; and positive relationship management skills\nHigh quality customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult customers in a positive manner\nAbility to safely operate a forklift with a valid forklift operators certification - internal certification as well as train and certify warehouse associates and drivers\nAbility to keep the warehouse organized, well stocked and free from any safety or security hazards\nAbility to perform duties in a safe manner as well as follow safety protocols and regulations\nExperience:\n5 years in a warehouse or shipping environment\nEducation/Certification:\nBachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred\nPeople Management: Yes\nPhysical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations\nReports To: Branch Manager\nSalary: $71,000.00 to $87,000.00\nQualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
