This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Utility Surveyor who enjoys technical problem-solving, working across varied project environments, and supporting others in their professional development. The role will be 60/40 office vs site based withthe field-based work in a managerial capacity to include setting up surveys, giving technical briefings and toolbox talks.\nPLEASE NOTE: this role can only be based in or close to one of the following locations:\nDerby, East Midlands\n\nBicester, Oxfordshire\n\nCrewe, North West\n\nNailsworth, Gloucestershire\n\nAs a Lead Utility Surveyor, you will:\nLead the delivery of utility survey projects, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with PAS128 and DM standards by:\n\nLead, undertake and deliver complex utility survey projects from planning through to final delivery\n\nManage on site survey teams and survey requirements to achieve survey objectives\n\nUndertake utility surveys using EML, GPR, GNSS, and where required, Robotic Total Stations\n\nEnsure surveys and deliverables comply with PAS128:2022 and DM quality standards\n\nProcess, review and quality control survey data, drawings and reports prior to issue\n\nAct as a technical lead for utility surveying activities and provide guidance to on-site survey teams\n\nMentor, train and develop junior utility surveyors\n\nProvide structured feedback and development plans for junior utility surveyors\n\nBuild and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders\n\nEnsure all work is carried out in compliance with health, safety, quality and environmental requirements\n\nPromote continuous improvement in survey methods technology and project delivery\n\nThe successful candidate will have:\nProQual Level 5 Diploma in Utility Mapping & Surveying or relevant experience\n\nDetailed knowledge of PAS128:2022 utility surveying standards\n\nAdvanced proficiency in EML and GPR technologies\n\nStrong experience in survey data processing, interpretation and deliverable production\n\nExperience in managing projects and survey teams\n\nExcellent technical, communication and client facing skills\n\nExperience managing multidisciplinary survey projects\n\nBe a great team player and have a can-do attitude\n\nAre a natural problem solver\n\nEnjoy delivering results with a team\n\nFull UK driving licence\n\nBenefits:\nAnnual bonus scheme\n25 days annual leave plus 1 day to celebrate your birthday\nVitality Health Membership (including Private healthcare, subsidised gym membership and other discounts)\nFlexible working through our ‘Flexible Advantage’ supporting working families & your work/life balance\nPension Scheme via The Peoples Pension\nLife insurance (4x Base Salary)\nCycle to work scheme\n26 Weeks paid Maternity Leave\n4 Weeks paid Paternity Leave\nBHN Extras -
