Approximately 70% of the role will involve driving duties, which include picking up materials from clients, dropping off materials at receivers, and working off-site at waste collection events.\nThe remaining 30% of the role will be spent on-site as a Waste Technician, where you will be responsible for handling both non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials. If you take exceptional pride in your work, we look forward to the opportunity to meet with you.\nResponsibilities\nTruck driving (AZ & DZ trucks).\nLoading and unloading materials.(Physical lifting required up to 50lbs.)\nShipping and receiving of materials.\nManaging inventories of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.\nSorting, identifying, and labeling waste materials.\nPreparing and reviewing shipping documents for accuracy and compliance.\nMaintaining compliance documentation related to waste management.\nAssisting with household hazardous waste collection events at various sites.\nSupporting processing activities at the transfer station.\nAdhering to and following all health and safety requirements.\nMonday to Friday work schedule, with some Saturday shifts as required.\nQualifications and Skills Required\nExcellent customer service and interpersonal skills.\nValid AZ or DZ license (or close to obtaining AZ).\nResponsible, reliable, and self-motivated.\nPhysically fit and able to perform manual tasks.\nMechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.\nEnvironmentally conscious with a commitment to sustainability.\nKnowledge of WHMIS and adherence to strong safety practices.\nForklift experience (an asset).\nCurrent first aid certification (an asset).\nWork Environment and Benefits\nCompetitive hourly wage ($25/hr, based on experience).\nMedical, health and dental benefits after a three-month probationary period.\nFull-time hours.\nDa-Lee Group provides equal employment opportunities (EEO), and we welcome candidates from all abilities and backgrounds.
