air\ndistribution.\nReview equipment sizing, redundancy, capacity, diversity, and operational requirements.\nEvaluate mechanical systems based on reliability, maintainability, energy efficiency, and operational resilience.\nReview mechanical single-line diagrams, P&IDs, schematics, equipment layouts, and control sequences.\nEnsure designs comply with applicable international and local codes and standards.\nCritical Cooling Systems\nProvide engineering support for chillers, cooling towers, dry coolers, heat exchangers, CRAH/CRAC units,\npumps, and chilled water systems.\nEnsure appropriate redundancy configurations such as N+1, 2N, and distributed-redundant systems, where\nrequired.\nReview cooling capacity against current and future IT loads.\nMonitor chilled-water supply/return temperatures, flow rates, differential pressure, and equipment\nperformance.\nSupport optimization of cooling systems to improve energy efficiency and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).\nReview failure scenarios and ensure cooling systems maintain required environmental conditions during\nequipment outages.\nConstruction & Installation\nMonitor mechanical installation activities and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications,\nmethod statements, and project requirements.\nInspect installation of chillers, pumps, CRAH/CRAC units, cooling towers, AHUs, piping, valves, ductwork,\ninsulation, and mechanical equipment.\nReview equipment and material submittals, shop drawings, RFIs, method statements, and technical\ndocumentation.\nCoordinate mechanical works with electrical, architectural, structural, controls, and other MEP disciplines.\nIdentify construction issues and provide engineering solutions.\nVerify equipment installation, alignment, access, maintainability, and service clearances.\nTesting & Commissioning\nSupport pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.\nReview and witness FAT, SAT, equipment testing, functional performance testing, and integrated systems\ntesting.\nParticipate in commissioning of chillers, pumps, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, heat exchangers, and\nassociated control systems.\nVerify chilled water flow, temperature, pressure, and equipment performance.\nReview and test mechanical control sequences and failure scenarios.\nParticipate in integrated testing of mechanical and electrical systems.\nSupport simulated failure testing of redundant cooling systems.\nReview commissioning reports, test results, deficiencies, and punch lists.\nOperations & Maintenance\nSupport operation and maintenance of critical mechanical infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot HVAC and cooling system failures.\nAnalyze equipment alarms, temperature deviations, flow issues, pressure problems, and other mechanical\nabnormalities.\nSupport root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.\nReview preventive and predictive maintenance programs.\nDevelop and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Maintenance Procedures (MOPs), and Emergency\nOperating Procedures (EOPs).\nMonitor mechanical equipment performance and identify opportunities for optimization.\nSupport capacity planning and mechanical infrastructure upgrades.\nMaintain accurate equipment records, drawings, specifications, and maintenance documentation.\nBMS & Controls\nCoordinate with BMS/Controls engineers to ensure proper monitoring and control of mechanical systems.\nReview mechanical control sequences and points lists.\nVerify alarms, setpoints, interlocks, equipment status, and operating sequences.\nMonitor critical parameters through BMS/EPMS and other facility monitoring systems.\nSupport development and testing of automatic changeover and failure-response sequences.\nEnergy Efficiency\nMonitor mechanical system energy consumption and operating efficiency.\nSupport initiatives to reduce cooling energy consumption and improve PUE.\nAnalyze chiller, pump, cooling tower, and CRAH/CRAC performance.\nIdentify opportunities for free cooling, variable-speed operation, optimized chilled-water temperatures, and\nother energy-saving measures where applicable.\nSupport measurement and verification of energy-saving initiatives.\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure compliance with mechanical, HVAC, fire/life-safety, environmental, and occupational safety\nrequirements.\nParticipate in risk assessments and permit-to-work processes.\nEnsure safe isolation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.\nReview method statements and risk assessments for mechanical works.\nEnsure compliance with applicable local authority requirements and international standards.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.\n3-8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities,\nhospitals, or large commercial projects.\nStrong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems.\nExperience with chilled water systems, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, CRAH/CRAC units, AHUs, and mechanical\npiping.\nExperience with mechanical testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance.\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment schedules, control diagrams, and\nspecifications.\nKnowledge of relevant HVAC and mechanical standards and codes.\nExperience coordinating with contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience working in Tier III/Tier IV or equivalent mission-critical data centers.\nExperience with data center cooling technologies and high-density IT environments.\nExperience with liquid cooling or high-density cooling systems is an advantage.\nExperience with commissioning and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).\nKnowledge of ASHRAE data center thermal guidelines.\nExperience with BMS/DDC controls.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit.\nExperience with HVAC design and analysis software.\nKnowledge of energy-efficiency and data center PUE optimization.\nProfessional engineering certification or local engineering registration, where
