Are you ready for duty?\nThe role\nAs a Cyber Security Engineer at Damen Naval, you'll play a critical role in the development of a secure cyber design for our frigates.. Your expertise will be essential throughout the entire project lifecycle. Your direct involvement will ensure the success of our frigates and their associated training centers, ultimately safeguarding the delivery to our respected clients.\nKey accountabilities\nIn this role, your responsibilities will include:\nContribute to the engineering process by developing the required deliverables, such as specification documents, functional descriptions, schematic drawings and security concepts.\nParticipate in discussions of experts in IT security, OT security, emission security and physical security.\nContribute to the test and verification plans for security measures.\nParticipate in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required Cybersecurity standards.\nVerify technical performance of vendors and subcontractors.\nPerform technical analysis on received offers, in close cooperation with the Purchase department.\nEnsure full compliance to all applicable requirements and specifications, imposed by Class and the customer.\nWork with vendors and subcontractors to get their timely contribution to the project.\nContribute to the further development of the E&A Engineering department.\n Skills & experience\nWe are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in industrial Automation, IT Systems, Information Security Management or another relevant discipline.\nMinimum of five years’ experience in the design or maintenance of complex IT or OT systems, preferably in ships, offshore or industrial installations.\nVast experience and broad knowledge of networking and IT systems, including related hardware infrastructure and system hardening.\nVast experience and broad knowledge about the different networking architectures, layers and protocols, cyber security concepts, data encryption and radiation safety.\nKnowledge about relevant standards and regulations related to Cybersecurity, such as ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.\nExperienced to work with third-party vendors and subcontractors.\nGood command of the German and English language (written & verbal).\nExcellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.\nWhat we offer\nAt Damen Naval, we highly value our employees, and we will support your professional and personal development.
