Over the years, Niron Staal has accumulated expertise and know-how in the offshore, ship repair, and new construction sectors.\nFor more information, visit http://www.nironstaal.nl.\nThe role\nWithin Niron Staal Amsterdam, the pipe fitting department was established in 2015. Over time, this department has grown to include 15 to 20 pipe fitters, TIG welders, a production coordinator, and two project managers. In recent years, Niron Piping has successfully completed various projects for both internal and external clients.\nDue to the increasing workload and to strengthen the team, we are currently looking for a Foreman for the pipe fitting department.\nKey accountabilities\nProper preparation, including determining the work sequence, capacity planning, and ensuring the availability of tools and materials;\n\nAllocating work based on established schedules and overseeing quality and quantity;\n\nLeading a group of pipe fitters and TIG welders, ensuring they perform their work competently;\n\nEnsuring workplace safety;\n\nAdhering to safety and company regulations;\n\nMaintaining a clean work environment;\n\nProviding instructions and guidance;\n\nMonitoring progress and quality;\n\nApplying personal knowledge and skills in practice and keeping up-to-date in the field;\n\nTimely reporting of work-related issues and proactive thinking;\n\nContributing to increased efficiency and promoting company objectives.\n\nSkills & experience\nMBO level of education;\n\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within steel construction;\n\nPreferably from the maritime sector;\n\nProficient in reading drawings independently;\n\nWillingness to work in the evening or on weekends;\n\nHolds a VCA VOL certificate or is willing to obtain one;\n\nProblem-solving ability;\n\nGood communication skills in Dutch and/or English;\n\nLeadership and motivational capabilities;\n\nWillingness to travel to other locations/yards when executing projects;\n\nValues a pleasant working atmosphere and actively contributes to it;\n\nA true team player capable of collaborating with various stakeholders (colleagues, customers).\n\nWhat we offer\nEntrepreneurship is in our DNA, which is why we continue to grow, innovate, and provide ample opportunities.\nWe offer you:\nThe salary for this position ranges between €3900 and €4600 gross per month (based on a full-time contract), excluding holiday allowance. The exact salary will depend on your knowledge and experience.
