JOB CONTEXT

Damen Song Cam Shipyard(DSCS)is engineering, building, outfitting,commissioningand delivering ship types of the Damen range. Basic designs and most components are delivered to DSCS by DamenWorkboat inGorinchem. DSCS will complete the detailed design, produce all required production instructions, supplement the remaining components either bytheir own production or bypurchasing/subcontractingand provide project management.

DSCSconsistsoffour bigdepartments:Engineering,Projects,Operations,and Finance.ManufacturingEngineeringdepartmentis onedepartment withinOperationsdepartment andis undersupervisionofOperationsmanager.Manufacturing Engineeringconsists of following subteams:

-Manufacturing Engineering

- Production Support

Productionsupportis responsible forpreparingbuilding strategies, deliveringtechnical solutions on board in case ofconflictsand creatingtechnical work instructionsfor production

PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB

Creates,maintainsand improvesbuilding strategies for ship types whicharebuilt in DSCS. In co-corporation with other teamstoensure a smooth building process in production and build up a technical library of technical work instructions. Participate in improving processes and quality of output oftheproduction support team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACTIVITIES

• Provideinitial info of project

- Building strategy

- Making work instructions,buildingup work instruction library fortheyard

-Requestandreviewdocking support drawing packages

- Calculating paint areas on vessels

- Demarcation on spool list

-To provide engineering information to productionand planning(pipe support, floor area, insulation area, …)

• Support and solving technicalissuesduring building

- Making modification sheet/sketch (if needed for specific YN)

- Follow up to provide information for production (DWG package status, procedure, manual…)

- Solving technicalissuesrelated to design of vessel

• Provide the inputtoengineering to develop the design/ detail engineering packages

- Follow upInform QC to reassignfeedback from production relate toSEPI package to PFL engineering DSCS for following up

• Production template

-Understand about production template

-Together withWork preparation+ Planning team to develop production template for specific shiptypes

• Instruction project

- Responsible for the creation of work instruction, update andmaintainingthe project specific work instructions, where the work instructions are part of the ship types

• Other activities

- Create new and/or update drawings ofyard’sfacilityand equipment

-Assistin engineering calculations

• General regulations

- Keep the workplace clean and in order

- Compliance withallcompany and employment regulations, and safety regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Higher education technical

• Qualification inShipbuilding Engineering/Mechanical engineering

• Technical insight

• Good written and verbal English

Experience

• 1-3years of experiencein technical field
