Are you ready for duty?\nThe role\n As a Technical Subcontract Manager Electrical at Damen Naval, you play a key role in coordinating and managing electrical subcontracted work packages within complex naval projects. From preparation and procurement through engineering, installation and testing, you ensure that subcontracted electrical activities are delivered in accordance with project requirements, specifications, planning, quality and cost objectives.\nWorking closely with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams, you take ownership of the technical coordination and integration of electrical work packages. You monitor progress, facilitate project activities and ensure that deliverables and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.\nKey accountabilities\nIn this role, your responsibilities will include:\nManaging, coordinating and facilitating multiple electrical subcontractors and suppliers during the preparation and execution of projects.\nTaking ownership of the technical integration of electrical work packages and coordinating the activities of the relevant subcontractors.\nEnsuring that electrical products and services comply with applicable requirements and specifications within agreed schedules, quality standards and cost limits.\nSecuring the execution and synchronization of project activities, deliverables and contractual obligations of subcontractors.\nOrganizing and participating in project reviews and monitoring progress, interfaces, risks and required actions.\nParticipating as the accepting party during contractual milestones, tests and trials, such as FAT, HAT and SAT.\nSupporting technical and commercial evaluations, including proposal evaluations and cost and price analyses, and assisting with warranty-related issues when required.\n\nSkills & experience\nWe are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or another relevant technical discipline combined with 7-10 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5-7 years of relevant experience.\nBroad knowledge of electrical installations, preferably within ships, naval shipbuilding or offshore installations.\nProven experience working with engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and project or programme managers in a complex technical environment.\nExperience managing complex projects and subcontracted technical work packages.\nGood understanding of engineering concepts, practices and the technical integration of electrical systems.\nStrong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage priorities, interfaces, deliverables and deadlines across multiple stakeholders.\nA decisive and proactive approach, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of project management methodologies, such as IPMA, is an advantage.\nGood command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken, and willingness to travel and work abroad, potentially for longer periods or on intercontinental projects.\nWhat we offer\nAt Damen Naval, we highly value our employees, and we will support your professional and personal development.
