Working primarily with PHP and SQL, you’ll use AI coding tools on well-scoped, multi-step work, validate the output carefully and develop strong engineering habits across testing, code review and production support.Responsibilities\nBuild and ship features across the platform.\nOwn medium-complexity features from requirements clarification through implementation, testing and release.\nDirect AI coding tools on multi-step tasks and validate generated code and tests before pull request.\nWrite and maintain automated tests as part of your definition of done.\nReview other engineers’ code and provide constructive, specific feedback.\nHelp triage and resolve production issues in the systems you work on.\nContribute to technical design discussions and escalate blockers or safety and compliance risks early.\nSkills and Experience\nStrong PHP development experience, ideally within an enterprise SaaS environment.\nComfort with modern PHP framework conventions across routing, data access, validation and background jobs.\nSolid SQL skills, including writing and tuning queries against production data.\nBasic front-end capability to build and troubleshoot forms and workflows end to end.\nExperience working in cloud-hosted environments, including deployments, logging and basic infrastructure troubleshooting.\nComfort directing AI coding tools and validating their output for correctness and security.\nExperience with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing and collaborative code review.\nClear written and verbal communication, including with non-technical stakeholders.\nAbout Ideagen\nIdeagen is the invisible force behind many things we rely on every day - from keeping airplanes soaring in the sky, to ensuring the food on our tables is safe, to helping doctors and nurses care for the sick.
