This highly configurable, workflow-driven SaaS solution supports enterprise, government, nuclear, energy, and compliance-focused organisations in managing critical operational, safety, and quality processes.\nAs a Software Engineer L2, you'll take ownership of increasingly complex features, contribute to engineering standards and support the growth of less experienced developers within the team. Working in a modern engineering environment that embraces AI-assisted development, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while continuing to develop your technical expertise.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop and deliver software features independently, taking ownership from technical design through to deployment and support. \nWork closely with Product Managers and fellow engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. \nTake responsibility for testing, software quality and engineering standards within your area of ownership. \nReview and validate AI-generated code, tests and engineering outputs before they enter production environments. \nMentor Associate Engineers and junior team members, helping improve their technical capability and delivery effectiveness. \nContribute to discussions around architecture, implementation approaches and engineering best practices. \nSupport incident resolution activities and help drive improvements that enhance system reliability and maintainability. \nChampion continuous improvement and support the adoption of AI-assisted engineering approaches across the squad. \nSkills and Experience\nCommercial software engineering experience with evidence of independently delivering production-ready solutions. \nStrong technical proficiency within one or more modern development stacks and associated tooling. \nExperience working within agile software delivery environments and collaborative engineering teams. \nGood understanding of software testing, quality assurance and engineering best practices. \nAbility to own features from requirement through to deployment with minimal supervision. \nExperience mentoring junior developers or supporting technical development within teams. \nInterest and experience in AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering approaches. \nStrong communication, problem-solving and collaboration skills. \nJava backend development experience \nGrowing / basic Vue.js front-end experience \nAs a business, we place great value on collaboration, knowledge sharing and building strong relationships across our teams. Therefore, for candidates living within a 35-mile radius of Nottingham, this role will follow a hybrid working pattern, with three days per week based in our Ruddington office.
