You'll act as the operational backbone of an engineering squad, ensuring priorities are clear, requirements are robust and delivery remains efficient. This is an exciting opportunity to combine product delivery expertise with technology that helps customers manage safety, compliance and operational performance.\nResponsibilities\nOwn backlog quality and sprint readiness, ensuring engineering teams can deliver effectively against agreed priorities.\n\nRefine requirements and acceptance criteria to provide engineers with clear, actionable and well-defined work.\n\nLead sprint ceremonies, including planning, refinement, reviews and retrospectives, to maintain delivery momentum and transparency.\n\nCollaborate closely with Product Managers to ensure delivery activities remain aligned with customer and business objectives.\n\nReview AI-generated user stories, acceptance criteria and delivery artefacts to ensure quality and accuracy.\n\nProactively identify and manage delivery risks, dependencies and blockers across the development cycle.\n\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving squad performance and product delivery effectiveness.\n\nShare knowledge and support the growth of junior Product Owners where appropriate.\n\nSkills and Experience\nExperience supporting agile software development teams through effective backlog management and sprint planning.\n\nStrong understanding of agile methodologies and product delivery best practices.\n\nAbility to create clear, structured requirements that support successful engineering outcomes.\n\nExperience working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and business stakeholders.\n\nStrong organisational and prioritisation skills within complex delivery environments.\n\nConfidence assessing and improving AI-assisted delivery processes and documentation.\n\nExperience in SaaS, maritime technology or regulated software environments would be beneficial.\n\nExcellent communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach.\n\nAs a business, we place great value on collaboration, knowledge sharing and building strong relationships across our teams. Therefore, for candidates living within a 35-mile radius of Nottingham, this role will follow a hybrid working pattern, with three days per week based in our Ruddington office.
