This role is responsible for transforming raw operational data into reliable, accessible, and well-modeled datasets-enabling improved forecast accuracy, optimized material flow, enhanced decision-making, and automated analytics at scale.\nThe position is highly technical, blending data engineering, data modeling, and analytics to support end-to-end supply chain performance.\n#OCCDANAMEXICO\n#COMM\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nData Modeling, Pipelines & Engineering (Core Focus)\nDesign, build, and maintain SQL-based data models and transformations using dbt (data build tool) as the primary development framework.\nDevelop scalable, well-tested data pipelines integrating SAP, logistics systems, planning tools, and external sources.\nImplement data quality tests, documentation, and version control practices consistent with modern analytics engineering standards.\nEnsure semantic consistency, reproducibility, and strong governance across data domains (inventory, demand, supply, logistics, procurement).\nAI, Data Science & Predictive Analytics\nBuild and maintain AI-driven forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply-risk detection models.\nApply data science techniques (regression, clustering, anomaly detection, statistical modeling) to identify process inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.\nDevelop predictive insights on demand variability, supplier performance, logistics constraints, and inventory exposure.\nSupport AI adoption across plants by training users, interpreting model recommendations, and validating accuracy of automated signals.\nWorking Capital & Cost Optimization\nAnalyze inventory levels, safety stock models, lead times, and cycle stock to reduce working capital without compromising customer service.\nIdentify excess, obsolete, and slow moving inventory drivers and propose data backed reduction strategies.\nSupport cost reduction initiatives by analyzing transportation cost trends, supply routes, MOQ impacts, and supplier delivery patterns.\nCreate scenario based models to evaluate the cost impact of forecast shifts, production changes, sourcing decisions, or logistics contingencies.\nMonitor working capital KPIs and provide actionable insights to MP&L and Finance.\nSupply Chain Operations & Analytics\nConduct deep dive analysis into material flow, capacity constraints, and MRP exceptions using SAP data.\nDevelop real time dashboards and exception reports to improve visibility and streamline decision making.\nPartner with planners, schedulers, MP&L managers, and operations leaders to translate insights into executable actions.\nSupport new product launches, engineering changes, and supply readiness activities using data driven assessments.\nParticipate in continuous improvement projects focusing on parameter optimization, scheduling accuracy, and inventory efficiency.\nEducation and Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree required; MBA or CPIM/CSCP preferred\nMinimum of +-5 years of experience in supply chain, materials management, logistics, operations research, or analytics.\nPowerBi\nStrong problem-solving skills with focus on cost, working capital, and operational optimization.\nExperience with AI concepts, predictive modeling, or statistical analysis is highly desirable.\nSAP experience (MM/PP required;
