Serving two primary markets - passenger vehicle and commercial truck equipment - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.\nJob Purpose\nThe primary responsibility of this position is to perform the required testing following specific procedures, process, and completing them on time. Other duties include but are not limited to the following:\nSchedule: Mon - Thur 1pm - Midnight.\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\nSet up, create test profiles, operate dynamometers as well as fatigue test benches for driveline components, sub assemblies and full assemblies.\n· Work with requesting engineers and test engineers to insure correct fixturing, set-up, operation, and acquisition of data for test requests.\n· Assemble and disassemble driveline components and assemblies.\n· Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues encountered during assembly/Setups and escalate if needed.\n· Support total quality management objectives including all KPIs, and WIs, in a team environment.\n· Adhere to all Operating procedures and Work instruction related to this position.\n· Assist with calibration of equipment, and perform equipment verification as necessary.\n· Be Available to team members for questions, and issues regarding their daily tasks.\n· Assist with the quality system and associated documentation (lessons learned)\n· Perform data analysis on raw data from the test stands to confirm test completed\n· Inspect disassembled components of tested parts for determination of damage and possible causes\n· Support Safety First Assessments - complete findings and HERO forms\n· Assistance Test Engineers on organizing parts, fixtures, and other necessary items for upcoming tests\n· Submit maintenance requests as required for recognized issues with equipment\n· Responsible for equipment uptime and updating the daily schedule for each department.\nEducation and Qualifications\n· Two year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering technology. - preferred\n· High School Diploma or GED Required.\n· 2+ years of experience in automotive field\n· 2+ years of test lab experience (Equipment troubleshooting, Setup, and Profile writing)\n· Maintenance and Calibration Experience -preferred\n· Knowledge of electromechanical systems, understanding of electric motors, and sensor fundamentals.\n· LOTO, High Voltage and electrical principles (arc flash, PPE)\n· CAN, Ethernet, RS232, GPIB - preferred\n· Excellent mechanical aptitude - Experience with assembly and disassembly of various mechanical equipment.\n· Self-directed, motivated, and organized individual who is willing to accept responsibility and complete tasks on time.\n· Microsoft Office.\n· Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and off-shifts as requested\n· Must have a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.\n· Able to lift up to 35 lbs. repetitively and stand for approximately 90% of the time.\nWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.\nUnsolicited Resumes from Third-Party Recruiters\nPlease note that as per Dana policy, we do not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party recruiters unless such recruiters were engaged to provide candidates for a specified opening.
