We conduct groundbreaking research that advances treatment, we educate tomorrow's physician/researchers,and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals.\nCode new software features and translate requirements into software implementation\nWrite test suites, including: unit, integration and end-to-end tests\nWrite technical documentation\nMaintain existing software\nWork and think independently\nAdapt to new technologies as required\nMentor new team members\nCommunicate project status, product requirements and write technical documentation\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:\nProficiency in at least one modern programming language, e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.\nComputer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis\nKnowledge of professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations\nAble to lead the development of individual components of software applications, such as a user interface, database layer or application logic. Able to participate in on-going maintenance of applications and can lead code reviews\nProficient in two or more components of “full-stack” programming, including front-end, back-end, cloud or high-performance computing\nAble to optimize and deploy software applications for on-premise and/or cloud-native infrastructure\nAble to keep up-to-date with state-of-the-art software development tools and software development frameworks\nAble to communicate project status, product requirements and write technical documentation\nMINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:\nThe position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, with a Master's degree potentially substituting for experience.
